Default The Official Dark Knight Thread

Ok so we get a few movie threads pop up here every now and then, so I thought I'd start one for the next Batman movie.

Surely I'm not the only one who can't wait to see it? I mean the viral campaign (If you're looking for it) has been huge!

A couple of links: Gotham Cable News

Even the Gotham City Rail gets it's own site!

Heres the latest Trailer

I've been booked into Gold Class to see this on the 20th for over a week now.

Hope it lives up to the hype and to the quality of Batman Begins.

A reviewer from Rolling Stone gave it a bloody good review. you can read it at rotten tomatoes. I personally cant wait. no idea if our cinema will get it on release day though. The trailers are all freakin awesome so the rest of the movie must be.

Thumbs up

Just watched it on a Vmaxx screen.

The movie was bloody great and Ledger was brilliant.
His Jocker character was a true madman -not a cartoon!
Movie kept going and going and after 150min I still wanted more! (my bladder was however keen to go)

ALL THUMBS UP

This movie lived up to all the hype, Ledger was, as just about everyone else has said, brilliantly scary.

The movie was excellent, I just got home from viewing it then. Hedger was great, he did the Joker well. Especially when he does the psychotic laugh every now and then.. Need to watch it again tho, and it leave's some trails as to who and what is going to happen in the next movie. I think that Reece (The accountant who tries to blackmail Bruce), will end up becoming Robyn in some time.

Loved the whole movie, excellent acting, looking forward to the next one already...

Ledger exceeded my expectations as the joker, by a long shot.

Very good movie. I've always liked Batman movies. This one is very story driven, moreso than action driven.

Heath Ledger is seriously brilliant in this movie. Gotta love the joker. Two-face looks great in the movie, too.

Sorry to crush your gay fantasies :P but christopher Nolan has already stressed that while he is behind the helm, there will never be a Robin character in his Dark Knight franchise. Colman Reese is just a 'bit' character having never appeared in Batman before. Same with Rachel Dawes which is why ****SPOILER**** it was no big deal killin her off this time around.

The ONLY part of the movie that angers me is knowing the fact that Ledger wont be back for the next one. the Joker is such agood character, i dont think anyone could replicate HEaths portrayal.
I watched the movie twice on its opening day and it was every bit as good the second time around. Nows time to wait for it on Bluray....!!

yea i was sort of thinking here we go its batman for god sake! so i went and watched it and was really spunout, was actually a really good movie and more of an action/crime than a comical superhero movie, and yea the jokers role was excellent dunno how ledger did so good havnt seen decent acting like that in ages!!

I loved it.

Saw it the day it came out ... then again 4 days later.

Ledger plays the best role. and I think he played it better than Jack Nicholson.

I'd def see it again! and again, and possibly again.

All this joker stuff has got me obsessed with it.

I also love the pencil trick.
