Default Is the search feature working?

I used to be able to search using the search feature on the tool bar. I also tried "search this forum" and once I click on the search bar to type it disappears. Am I doing this wrong?

Thanks for checking, psychobimbo.

I just tried both ways again and the little window that pops up disappears when I tap the blank search bar. No idea why.

Are you using Chrome for Android? If so, answer (not a good one tho) is in this thread.

And I cleared my cache and unchecked java script and now I can search from the tool bar on top. But.....can't do a "search this thread" or "search the forum" search. I also can't post any emojis from the huge selection on the right. The I used in my above post was actually from the : and ).

Do you keep your java script off?

ps. I also cant do multiple quotes now that java is turned off. That's why I have separate posts here for you and for psychobimbo.

I turned java off and now the search from the top toolbar goes directly to a detailed looking search, not the tiny pop up window that I used to see.

So java must have something to do with searches as well as the list of emojis. Guess I need to decide what feature I want more. But can't I have it both ways the way it used to be?

Same thing naddis01 suggested, to just use the advanced search option.

Thanks! : and ) cuz I can't use emojis w/java turned off.
I'll make my own
