What's the deposit for exchange uprights or the extra charge for purchasing outright?
Is the kit for ABS or non-ABS?

We are making a 330mm kit as we speak and it along with the twin piston kit we do retains the e series offset which is why they have been selling well. The uprights can be purchased outright from between $100 to $150 a pair depending what we pay from the wreckers and they can be done in ABS or non ABS .The rotors supplied are with EF EL ABS rings fitted but if an earlier model is needed you have to remove the sensor and fit the early ones on as they have a different amount of teeth. The early model abs rings are about $20 or so each i think.

What about the 343mm kits though? Only really interested in this bad boy, as I figure if I'm going to spend that much on a brake kit, might as well spend the extra and save wondering what if down the line.

Also, any idea what size wheel to get over it? 17" or 18"?
343cm = approximately 13.5" so probably get most 17" wheels over them I would think.

If you are buying new wheels i would wait until you get the brake kit first to make sure they fit as i would recommend atleast an 18" wheel for this size brake kit.
The 343mm kit would take about the same to make and orders are about 3 weeks wait at the moment but it won't be long before orders aren't done until after Christmas.

G'day,

what upgrades do you have for an XE?, we use it as a track car at Winton, it currently has standard size DBA slotted rotors, PBR Performace pads, standard callipers and lines, and DOT 5 brake fluid. Standard brakes and pads on the rear.

We would really like to go bigger, but stay within the 15" rims, what do you recomend?

There is a twin piston caliper and 298mm vented disc upgrade and they start from $1500.

Mate, I believe the BF MKII XR8's and XR6T's came with an upgraded brake package.
Do you know what the upgrade over the BF MKII XR6 was and would you recommend that upgrade or an equivalent that you do?
I'd like to beef up my brakes but I'm not neccessarily looking at a full Brembo kit if you follow me. Slotted front rotors, braided lines and maybe DOT 5 fluid with some good pads?
Thanks

The difference in the brakes on the XR6 and XR6t & XR8 are

XR6 front rotors are 298mm and rears are 316 solid disc

XR6T & XR8 Front rotor 322 and rears 328 ventilated disc

I have these on my BA and the difference in braking was quite amazing. I also put braided lines on mine.

Unless you were going to be doing track days there would no need for anything bigger than this setup.

Give Matt a call on Monday, he is back from holidays then and he will be able to sort you out.

Mate, Thanks for the info. No I won't be doing track work so that should see me out fine.

PM sent. Hope the price hasn't risen though, as it's hard enough at the moment to justify spending 4 grand on 4 piston setup for an EF, when BA's etc are offering larger rotors with 4 piston setups for under 3 grand.

The quote is being done now thanks.I can understand what your saying about price but you just can't compare the kits because the falcon kit is mass produced for a simple bolt on set up and the e series kit has to have uprights modified, 2 piece rotors and brackets made for it to fit because there is simply not much demand to make 50 or so kits but i will do my best to get you a good price.

Yeah, understood, if I had my way I'd buy it either way, but these things have to be justified to the financial manager for approval!

Just wanted to jump in and thank Matt for the Brembo 4 + 4 setup he did for my AU Ghia just before Christmas, had all the gear in within a couple of days and ready to install within a week .. the setup has been fantastic and gave it a good run during a recent Ford cruise ... could outbrake all the T3 TS50's on Tickford premiums without a trouble

Kit arrived Thursday. It is now installed. Pictures:

Installed them last night and replaced my drivers side strut rod to K-frame Nolathane bush that had sheered itself, so didn't finish till 23:00 by which time the old man was asleep so I couldn't bleed them. On my way to do that now though, and then give them a test and get a wheel alignment.
