Default XR Dash Cluster

Hey guys not sure if this has come up before, but.... I have an AUII Ute, which i just got power windows put in, got factory trims, regulators, wiring, harness etc, went to plug it in but couldnt due to wiring differences. So my local Ford dealer wired it up.
So i was wondering whether of not i'd be able to swap my low series cluster to an XR series one or is there wiring difference behind the dash.

It will work, but will need some re-wiring. LG has done it, as have a few other guys. There's a document floating around somewhere I believe with details in it, might be worth PM'ing LG.

LG got it done by his mechanic when he got his car serviced.

I'm actually trying to find out how to do it as well, got all the parts I need now, just need the doco for a series 2.

Thx for the file Howesy but still have my problem. On all the diagrams I've found it states 28 pins on the left connector, and 20 on the right.

My series 2 forte has 20 pins on left and 16 on right. Can anyone tell me whats going on please?
