Default Crap Nite @ WSID Ray

Decided to go to WSID last nite as I missed out last week because it was over-subscribed and I was late arriving.
Got there early, entered and scrutineered no problems. Got in the staging lanes by 6.10pm (racing starts at 6pm) and then everything turned to sh*t as far as organisation and the running of the nite was concerned. I was allocated staging lane 3 which turned out to be invisible to the official running staging. Most other lanes got 5 passes for the nite, we got two. (Equates to $22.50 per run.) I was talking to another bloke with a BA XR8 in the staging lane beside me who got two passes while we had not moved an inch.
Between the break-downs, oil-downs and burnout comp (now 8 cars instead of 4) it was a pretty disappointing nite.
Now that's off my chest, I run a 13.74 and 13.69 @ 103 about 2 1/2 hours apart...

The way they run the allocation of the runs does seem to be pretty bad.

It seems like forever between runs...

eb_six,
There was quite a few ANDRA registered vehicles that were trailered in.
A few blown sedans (Forza etc), 8 and 9 second PAC Rotors. It seems that quite a few of the 'competition' type cars use staging lane 1 and get instant access to the track. I thought that is what the test and tune days were for!!!!!

Mark,
My 60' were 2.152 and 2.174 on the SP3000's. 92% Rel Humidity.
I have been out a couple of times before pre-edit, with a best of 14.2 @ 101.
With only 2 passes didn't quite get used to the ute going sideways when I changed into 2nd with the auto. Hopefully do better next time. The bug is catching..LoL.
Thanks to Chris from Bluepower and Simon from Xtreme Ford Tuning.
Can't wait for your Sydney trip Chris. :voldar02: :voldar02: :voldar02:

Gidday Craig,
It was something I only decided on the afternoon. Wade and I plan on going next Wed, weather permitting.

Mustang_Dave.
I got to the track about 5.10pm. I don't think the time I got there was the problem but the staging lane I got allocated didn't seem to get a fair go all nite.
(My race number was in the first quarter allocated for the nite.)

Probably pay to give WSID a ring before you left home. (Unless your coming from Newcastle or something.)
Apart from the last two weeks I haven't been for a while, so not to sure on the trend.
I believe that these days they supposedly limit the entrants to 160 or 170, but the week before last I got there just after 6.30pm and they had already made the cut at 200 and turned away 30 or 40 according to the bloke at the gate.
This week by 6.45pm they were full and I saw cars with numbers up around 180, plus the cars with ANDRA race numbers.
Earlier on in the year you could get there late and still run and if you got there around 5pm for the 6 o'clock start you would get at least 6 passes.

Maybe its time they had the occasional Friday nite meet as well!!!!
