It's the people that make the forum, so since most of us are here now it was only a matter of time.

Its been dead for along time. I just go back and look occasionally at some of the old threads that were interesting. FF.com was where I met Eamon. First saw his posts, started chatting on IRC, then MSN and got together at an FF.com event and there you have it! Relationship, house and baby! So yeah it has memories for me (anyone remember Eamon's drunken thread?).

Its also where I first met some of the people who have probably become some of my best friends.

Its sad to see it going down, but it has been for a while.

As Gerardine said, the best people are here now.

I still go on there for the classic and clevo sections every now and then. No where near as good as this forums though. What killed it in the end (other then AFF) was when autoforums got involved.

There were some great discussions on there that have relevance to a lot of queries which still get asked to this day. I often head over there to search up an old post that i remember reading - how to wire this, how to trick that... etc etc.

Ironically usually written by (now) AFF regulars.

I actually got along pretty well with John (LunaticSVT) and I thought he was a decent bloke. I think its a shame how it all turned out and despite everything, I hope he is doing ok.

I know he didnt treat people well though, and there is no excuse for that.

This place has more than made up for the loss of FF.com, in my opinion.
