Default Noisy A/C

Ok, both my XR8s have alot of noise coming from the A/C compressor when the A/C is on. Just a wurring/rattley sound, and slowly getting louder. How do i go about fixing this ?

the bearings in the compressor wheel die.. AFAIK you can get new bearing for them but I replace the whole unit

If the noise is only when the air con is on, it will not be the clutch bearing, but the air con compressor bearings, this job can not be done without the system being degassed and pulled apart.

A air con clutch bearing can be replaced without touching the gas, but they only give noise when the air con is turned off.
