Doctors are human, they can be careless. My GP prescribe me penicillin (under a different name), and it was only my own googling before I took it that prevented an allergic reaction. My allergy is in my records, he didnt check.

ABC just interviewed a nurse who took the training. Apparently the hour long online course is very "informative" but there is no video. She said the vaccines arrive in powder form, and practitioners have to reconstitute it, then divide up the doses, then store it safely. Sounds like a lot of handling with quite a few points of possible failures. She also said they have nurses perform several checks along the way to ensure it has been diluted and handled correctly.

She said generally speaking, there is a 11-18% (I think?) error rate when administering medicines. That sounds awfully high, maybe I heard wrong.

Remind me not to ask a doctor to make my coffee with 1 sugar, sounds like the various stages and additives are beyond seven years in medical school.

I guess I should go easier when I don't get my fries at the drive through too.

It does, but maybe they mean including the first step in the chain before it's caught (eg. an incorrect dose on a prescription that is caught by the pharmacist).

I do think doctors are held in a little too high regard. I work in the pharma industry and the amount of checks and cross-checks we are required to carry out in manufacturing, annoys me when a doctor is under no such requirement. No better evidence of this than when someone injected an antiseptic rinse instead of the epidural and paralyzed the mother....

Yes, Mexico (and Brazil) are doing it tough.

Mexico has just over 2M cases; 181k deaths and a CMR of 8.859% all of which equals 1,591 cases per 100k population and 141 deaths per 100k. Their 10 day average is still more than 6,000 cases and 1,200 deaths per day - in fact their 3 highest days of mortality have all been in the last month. On the plus side that's well down on their mid January numbers when they were averaging 17,000 cases per day.

Brazil (with about twice the population of Mexico) has just over 22M cases (11x more); 250k deaths and a CMR of 2.422% all of which equals 4,858 cases per 100k population and 117 deaths per 100k. Their 10 day average is still more than 50,000 cases and 1,100 deaths per day. They are perhaps fortunate that their CMR is relatively low.

We are lucky that most of our state Premiers have had a backbone, and did what is right by the people of Australia, rather than doing what's popular and trying to win a popularity contest for themselves.

Except for one Premier, who continually kept sprouting utter bull****, even went as far as stating "children under 12 have been proven not to be carriers or transmitters of the disease.", well and truly after it was proven that children under 12 do in fact carry, and do transmit Covid-19.

The same premier you throw shade at has not only had to deal with getting the bulk of Aussies home but also balanced the concerns of health and economy.

Sorry QLD and WA premiers have taken the easy route IMO. WA doesn't worry as much as they have huge exports but the tourism sector in QLD is in deep ****.

All odds are that McGowan will win by a landslide as did Palaszczuk. Even Scomos approval is through the roof.

If you think Melbourne lock down was bad economically, if Sydney and the rest of NSW were locked down it would be far worse than that by a lot.

You DO know where Costa Rica is??....
It’s just sort of off the coast of Australia, on the Pacific side... (sh it.... on a clear day, I almost see Far Nth Qld from where I live!)
And, yes... I just jet-set in and out of Oz at my hearts content during Covid, for a beer with the boys. OR to witness birth of grandkids, OR to attend close mates funerals!.... (Just like the professional tennis players and celebs)
(You’re a classic example of having no feckin idea about the realities of the Covid effect on people outside of Australia!)

COVID-19 vaccine doses thrown out at Melbourne aged care home after bungled cool storage

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-02-...ribee/13195424

I never understood why some countries needed to hoard 3 times more the dosage than what they actually need, but this could be one reason.

What are the odds that the next bungle will be in WA?

Good news elsewhere, up to 50k allowed at the G for the footy.....can't wait!

It still amazes me that tens of thousands of people are put into self isolation here and we don't have more cases of people breaking the rules.

You guys reckon, there's any merit to this article?
There's a bunch of govco links, which appear to back up the figures?

It makes you wonder what's real, and what's not,
with this whole sorry saga.

I worry for my family's future.

So the NSW gov is pushing for a covid vaccine passport, saying you will have to prove you are vaccinated to get into a shop or hotel.

But yeah, no ones forcing you to have it. Just don't expect to be able to leave your house if you don't.

Vaccine 'passports' reportedly under consideration in NSW
By Raffaella Ciccarelli |3 hours ago
As Australia's vaccine rollout enters its second week, NSW is reportedly considering a vaccine "passport" to prove who has and has not used the jab.

Today understands the certificate would be issued online via the Service NSW App and be used to determine travel eligibility and grant entry to certain venues.

Chair of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Jane Halton backs the proposal, but said employers should be cautious about rolling them out in workplaces.

"We have all got to figure out when we are going to need to demonstrate whether we've been vaccinated in what context," she told Today.

That kind of thing might have people working on alternative/parallel economies of sorts.

Vaxxed vs non vaxxed.

Already there is a 'freedom airline' in the works and they are looking for Aussie investors.

Its called conditioning. Its coming whether we like it or not, decision has already been made by our masters. UK and EU has already floated the idea and will be "debating" it in parliament, but its obvious what the outcome will be.

We all have some important decisions to make in the coming months.

Am I worried for my elderly parents taking the vaccine? Yes.
Would I take the vaccine? Yes.

I figured, if govco / illuminati / elites / bill gates wants to harm / track me, they can do it without a vaccine.

Interesting concept, but where will the airline land if jurisdictions require you to show your passport before entering.
