Default Regional differences in Australia

Folks do you think there are noticeable differences in people and culture in Australia ? Accents maybe ?

I've lived in all the states and a couple of the territories and don't think there's much change but maybe there's some subtle variations - Adelaide people being a bit more polite and reserved for example (they're proud that they have no convict stain ....).

What do you think ?
