Default whats it worth, lotus twin cam

: hi guys i'm new to the forum and was after some info, my dads got some bits and we were trying to get a value on them. he has a lotus twin cam mk1 escort which has been sitting around for a long time and the body is rusted out repairable but would make good track car, needs full resto but the engine is all complete even got the silencer intake still on it but you would give it a freshen up before driving. and he also has a spare front cut of the body, no motor but with twin cam id and matching id plates. if anyone could help me that woud be great, thanks

I reckon, absolute minimum $10k...Even TC shells are fetch good money these days, so anywhere from $10k for a rusty, to high 20's for a minter. Personally, I'd prefer a RS2000, but Twinks are what everyone seems to want. You'd probably want to avoid the track, now that they are pulling good numbers, though.

I reckon post it on ebay. There is enough interest in this model that you are assured of getting a good auction going. The more standard it is the better.

just sold one ,originality is the key to high values , they are hard to fake properly and the engine is the key to it all at the momen tbeing worth as much as the car, with these things its a bit like how long is a piece of string,a genuine air cleaner sold on ebay for 2025 dollars I know as I bid 2000 and lost, I then sold my car shortly after ,good luck
