Improved fuel economy with oil change

Last time I changed the fuel I put in Fuchs Super GTO 10W/30 and instantly gained 50-60kms to a tank under highway conditions. Nothing else was changed.

The oil in there before was a 40 weight oil and so the thinner oil seems to have done the job.

Previously I never saw more than 780kms (distance + DTE) but now it easily goes 850kms (distance + DTE).

It worked on my ute (AU1 tonner ute with 3.45 diff - i think the tonners got the 3.45 diff anyway, auto), not saying it will work on everyones.
