Default Twin Turbo EA on Gas :)

First One I have seen - Twin Turbo - No Dyno Sheet.

Quote:
Okay guys, what I have here is a project of mine that has been 2 years in the making. It is fitted with a Twin Turbo Tickford 4 litre from an ED. Head has been ported but not sure of pistons. Running custom steam pipe turbo manifolds and twin XS Power T04E's. Twin external wastegates dumping into 3" mandrel exhaust. Large XS Power front mount intercooler into Gas Research throttle body that has been machined out. Runs twin B4 gas converters which easily handle the 15psi being run. Fitted with an Exedy clutch which is not too heavy so it keeps the T5 alive. Would really like a C4 behind it. Has a 4 pinion XR8 diff with 3.45 I think. Has full ghia interior but the body would suit a reshell as it was damaged in the recent hail storms. It's not too bad but comes with a spare EB Fairmont Ghia with 165,000 on it in great condition. Will update photos tomorrow as computer at home does not like ebay!! Located in Cherrybrook. Call on 0415644463 if you have any questions as I can talk all day about it.. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE!!!!! WE'LL DO A DEAL!! Thanks.

Far out, talk about cramped! It'd have to make some decent power tho. But as far as looks go, that bay is ugly! I'm surprised it all fits to say the truth!

This car was for sale about a year ago. Me and a couple of other members went for a spin to see how it goes. Goes hard, but there is some serious heat issues under the bonnet. The brake booster area has seen better days....

cheers

Yeah you are correct, he does want $9k, cant see him getting that as other EA Turbos in much better condition have been on eBay and they have been passed in at the 5k mark as thats all ppl want to pay for an EA these days.

Lpg is great on forced induction as its a high octane fuel as well as a cheap way to get around engine management issues,

same as n/a motors can run bigger cams with out management issues as the gas it standalone

I'm guessing the owners have been through three or four licenses in that period of time.

But when it all boils down to it, its only an EA - No ABS, No Airbags, and it is a Ticking Time Bomb when it comes to Head Gasket problems. If I wanted a fast Falcon, it is only double his asking for an early BA Turbo, which will probably last longer.

but with that said a head gasket is really only a head gasket and can be minimised if not almost stoped with the right precautions ( au metal gasket and the rest of it.ect) and id have to agree bout it only being an ea but even with that saying so it will most likely give the ba if not beat the ba turbo ( stock). you see the power some people are making on this forum with turbos straped on the 6's. the only down side i see to it would be the heat issue with the rear of the block ( such as the break boster ect ect) but even this could be minimized to apoint wif some good idea's and a few modifications..... And dont forget for 9k ur getting 2 cars the one wif turbos ect and a stock one that it can all be transported into.

so if u add it up a eb fairmont ghia wif 160 xxx on it will sell for about $1.5-2K so then ur down to 7 for it and i see it as about the right price.
dimi
my 2 cents any way

Personally, there's no way I could justify 7k for the EA alone. It's rough as guts, the turbo gear appears to all be cheap stuff and who knows how it actually drives. Even stripped and parted out, I can't see 7k in that thing.

well thats your oppinon and mines mine but for me i wouldnt pay 7k for that ea no way 7k is a el xr6 so for me i dont see that price in it. the only point i was trying to make was that its some sort or plauable price that has been put on it

Yep. It's nothing more than a novelty (Not saying the second turbo does nothing).

Owner: Not many twin turbo EA's around! Better exploit it.

Also be my guest. Changing the head gasket on that thing looks like a .
