Unhappy Rain Tray Leaking

Hi everyone,
I just noticed today that my rain tray is leaking directly over the rear of the engine.

Doesn’t seem normal, has anyone else had this happen?
What should I do? I already had it leaking before from the clip end directly over the battery and put some silicone over the clip on the outside that stopped it leaking through.

Is it a design flaw? Or is my rain tray stuffed?

I'd be surprised it it's stuffed but check that the actual drains aren't blocked as if water can't get out of the tray then it will overflow.

The drains are clean.

Turns out the rain tray is split into two parts with some kind of sponge in between both that gets compressed when it’s bolted down.

Seems really bizarre. It only gets through if the water falls in the lower part of the tray, which would happen if water comes down from the windscreen.

Is there supposed to be a seal between the windscreen and the tray? I’ve just got a gap which is where I think the water is coming from.

By the look of the parts manual, yes there should be a seal between the windscreen and tray.

Something like this will do?
Unless the OEM part is cheap?

I ended up figuring out there is a channel that the rain tray sits in. Albeit I have a small gap in the centre because I can't get my hand further enough under the rain tray to get it to sit snugly. I'm going to fill the small gap with some black silicone and call it a day.

Had a through look at the rain tray and surrounds today and took it all apart.
Turns out it's intentional, by design, for the water to drain in to the engine bay as there is a piece on the lower part of the rain tray that has holes there to let water through, seems odd but it's how it is.
