Default power window question

have a funny thing happened today. I put down the power windows today form the drivers side, no problem. But when I went to put them up again the passenger side stayed down. I had to lean over and use the button on the passenger door. Any ideas what is wrong??

just seems like your p/s window button has gone...

If not, go and nick the P/S window switch, and swap it over with the passengers side p/w switch on the drivers door... Then just leave the passengers side door with a switch under the cover

bwahaha... I could imagine that conversation at the moment...

*Phone rings, it's your son*

"Dad, where's my bloody power window switches?!?"

"Oh, I just had to borrow it for a while... You haven't realised in the past few weeks that it's been missing, so I'm sure a few more years won't hurt....."

It is just a build up of crud on the switch contacts, very common. Take the switch out and clean the contact points with a bit of emery cloth and all will be good.

Yep, that's what it'll be...mine were doing the same thing a couple of years ago...I ended up dismantling and cleaning all of the switches in the 4 doors and it's been perfect ever since.

Before you fork out for a new switch take it apart and clean the contacts, I am 99% this will fix that annoying problem you have.
