Default Big Brother UK Winner...

Ok guys, there will be mixed replies about this.

I heard this firstly on nova this morning and almost died laughing, I'm not a heartless person its just that I didnt take it seriously at first as I thought it was a joke. This guy named Pete won big brother as the whole nation fell in love with him and felt sorry for him. You see this is an unusual person as pete has tourettes. Whilst everyone in the UK are used to it I watched it and couldnt believe it was actually real.

This is the first time I've seen a case of someone actually having the disorder. Heres a link to the Youtube video..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79AazCFtMpo

Anyone ever met or seen anyone with this in real life before ?

I had a guy in high-school who had Tourette's and ADHD. He found it hard to concentrate and had the occassional twitch. I then had another friend who seemed to develop it and got worse under pressure.

I think it's a treatable disorder with medicine once a day.

Didn't "John" on Big Brother Oz have it too? Ironic.

Yeh apparantly john has a mild case of tourettes.

This is quite funny, but as XR8Guy said, its not like we are being insensitive its just that its quite an amusing thing to take in at first.

I wish to annoy people.

Big Brother is the biggest waste of time ever.

If you enjoyed the turkey slap episode, it's clearly because you may want similar treatment, or yearn to hand it out.

In which case, stop watching TV and get out there!

Oh by all means your dead right, big brother is the biggest piece of crap ever, I just thought this was quite amusing and I actually suffered stomach pains in my amusement.

And regarding the fact about it being "put on". I tend to agree, when I watched it I sorta noticed little things that didnt seem too spontaneous or random. Also the fact that he put the microphone to his mouth just to yell w/anchor and every little noise he made, and then had a fit to stop himself from laughing. It'll probably be all over the newspapers in pommy land "Shock Scandal ! He tricked us all !" .. lol

If its real, then yeh, good luck to him !

I just got back from Scotland having been there for 5 weeks (getting married, pics will be posted soon). I watched the last 5 weeks of BB UK...I have to say Pete was the funniest bloke on the show I have ever seen. It WASN'T an act at all...one magazine had an article about his childhood etc...he's been through a lot. He was a real genuine guy on BB, very down to earth underneath that "energy".

I say good on him...

Thats too funny.
I love that bloke too because his constant reference to everyone as ******* just hits a bullseye every time. Seriously, to watch or participate in the show you'd have to be a ****er.

I thought the exact same thing!

He's got rock star written all over him. All you need is a record exec, a band and his insane lyrics/rambling.

Its gold.

He gets 10 points for style.

my little stepbrother has tourettes and ADHD, he is in year five and is just coming to understand his 1x tables. i think its quite sad how the education system lets him continue proceeding up grades.
he is very cranky and swears alot, not in a twitch but just generally swears alot.
he used to get facial twitches which were very annoying and were embarrasing but i think hes on a medication to stop this.
he has no respect for parents or how hard it is to earn a living. (other peoples property)

its quite an annoying bloody problem and sometimes i want to just smack him in the head because he is such a smart-***

i was just thinking, if you had tourettes and were bought up in a very controlled environment that didnt allow you to hear one swear word, what would you say?
you obviously wouldnt know swear words so what would it be?
