Wow, usually i'm a deadset hater of anything other than stock lights on an AU, but that is kinda cool, in a very weird way. What are they like to drive with? What are they like for approaching motorists?

I think these would be neat in XR trim. Very reminiscent of E-series XRs.

Very very cool. I like them more than my projector/angel eye headlights!

They look as though they need to have an eyelid or something to fill in all that space above the projectors.

They work just like standard projector lights they come with ballasts and everything you need all i needed to get was the fittings to match the fords parker lights . They mount into your standard reflectors so they are completely adjustable . i angled them down so they dont blind oncoming traffic and i have never been flashed . As they are a proper projector they have a clean cutoff line but just to be sure i painted the reflector . These projectors are a little too long for the au but the series 1 projectors are a little shorter and a much better fit . I have done quite a few sets now and have a good relationship with the manufacturer . Just be careful if you want to do this yourself as you have to adjust how your H4 fitting sits . I dont buy them from ebay i get them from an international trade site.

PS they are heaps brighter but have never had a problem with the police because they are in a projector unit and are aimed down a little more on the drivers side but im just being overcautious . mine are bixenon H4 and high beam only H1s . If i make another set for myself at some point i will probably just do the H4s

the reason for the washers is with very bright lights, the light can become diffused...........ie the with a film of dirt on the glass it turns a reflected beam into a flood light ...........hence the washers.

no, its to keep the lenses clean as filth on the lenses can cause the beam to refract in such a way as to become blinding to other motorists.
some just have water jets which pop out of the bumper, and some actually have washers and wipers...
