Sitting here in Hervey Bay I watched this mornings channel 9 brekkie show so see that there are gale force winds and torrential rain here. Live broadcasting from Urangan,
Bugger, my windows are faulty, all I see is maybe 15-20 knot winds which are quite normal and the odd shower. But there are huge waves crashing over the road on TV. Hang on, that looks like Yepoon, not here. Aren't our waves crashy enough? Oh look, I can't even seen them, bloody windows are still faulty. Nup not the windows, I went outside into the back yard and surprise surprise no rain and very average wind and I am on top of a hill. Maybe I am above it...... How can anyone ever believe anything these idiots broadcast, THEY JUST TELL LIES. |

Most the commercial networks will exaggerate almost any situation, any take advantage of the coverage. Just think about it, the best thing that happened for 'Underbelly' was having it be banned it Victoria, Nine milked that for all it was worth.

Then yesterday apparently was the opposite, where they said the threat was gone, it was heading out to see yet was still very closer to Fraser
I wonder if they had Fifi on Sunrise with a firetruck behind her firing a water cannon at her head with a giant industrial fan making the water blow sideways.....as a "live cross" to ravaged coastline |

the storm signed a deal with channel 7 . it's deliberately boycotting 9 . channel 9 in the meantime grabbed a free deal with a flyby wind off the coast of yepoon.
