Default Cost of ford focus parts

How expensive are ford focus parts.

Got a quote for a fuel pump from ford $1100??? WTF!

Can anyone tell me how much a transmission is?

Alternators,Brakes etc. i want to know how the prices compare to other cars.

I assume that the cost is due the focus not being locally made??

All new car parts are expensive - from Ford. (in fact all makes)

Why not check wreckers, Ebay, even Ebay UK. ( load more Foci over there.)

Why not post a list of parts you're after on this site. You'd be surprised what may pop up. A few members have bought entire cars that have been written off, to make clubman type racers. They may have additional bits.

I believe there is an auto tranny on Ebay at the moment. (havent checked for a few days though.)

If you put your location in your sig, other people might know of local parts too. Also what model your chasing for...

What sounds odd? The cost of they are worn?

$225 a shock fitted sounds reasonable as long as they are decent shocks (ie not gabriel)
How many kms you done?

What sounds odd to me is that all 4 are worn out. I have done 110,000.

I replaced all 4 in my Lancer at around 130kms.
At that stage I had one front and one back leaking.
