Default All Ford Day 2008

Hi All,

Once again, we will be displaying as part of the CFC member clubs' at the Peter Warren All Ford Day, held at the Warwick Farm Racecourse, August 17th 2007.

Many who went last year, will remember that our display was "unique", and one that was not forgotten, many commented on how we stood out, and we a display to be seen!

This year we will be aiming to take back what's rightfully ours - best club display.

Throughout the day, the club will be supplying food and drinks to all club members.

There will also be some entertainment for the kids, seperate to the main show activities.

As to out display, there will be some changes, these will be announced closer to the date.

We have capacity for a display of over 35 cars, all club members are encouraged to participate, and welcomed in what is a truly great day out for the family, and helping raise funds for charity.

We are encouraging all members to participate in the day.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Cheers

Default Can we join you?

G'day fellas I'm one of a small group keen on going to the All Ford Day from the T-Series Appreciation Room. If we get stuck with only a small group of guys can we join onto your group for the Club area? We have three vehicles keen for the day so far. I'm a Club member as well. Is there a cutt off day that you'll need to know buy?
Cheers Dave

Echoing the above post from the Doctor, thank you to all that attended.
The early morning cold and misshap did nothing to kerb the enthusiam.

I took a little timeout yesterday to have a look at your cars and just watch what was going on.
Every year I am more amazed at the effort that is expelled at home before AFD in getting your machines looking amazing, and the cohesion in sorting the display out, organising "base camp", ensuring that the food is hot and laughter flows.
And by the level of laughter from all, and actions of certain folk doubled over splitting their sides, again "A Good Time Was Had By All"

Congratulations to our concourse winner Ramon.
Ramon, you are quite spoken gentleman, and a most deserving winner. Enjoy the reward of your labour, you now own a very special place in history.

Well done folks, my sincere thanks.

Regards
Paul

My heartfelt thanks to all the support from our club members specially to Paul, Ben M., Ben S., Stretch and David Steen, who drove out to my place last Saturday to do a last minute quality check. All the hard labour ( and Meguires) paid off on the day. It's a shame we didn't have the ropes for our club display as this would have made a difference in getting the Best Club Display. Nonetheless, like Paul mentioned, the display gets getting better and sharper every year. Congratulations to everyone into making their pride and joy stand out on the day!

Hi All,

For a shaky start with me and the trailer, it certainly turned out to be a top day!
Huge thank you to everyone for all their efforts and help in making the day the success it was.
In particular to Paul and Ben s for picking up and running with the day on very short notice. Mark, Steve, Brett, Scott and Matt for coming up to collect the gear for the day - cheers fellas!!

Ramon - your car was simply stunning. The work and effort you have put into her is truly unbelieveable. Congratulations and well done on taking out the concourse!!!!

Thank you to everyone for your attendance and making it such a great day. I certainly enjoyed it!

Mark - very sneaky and good work with the camera!! Brett has never come up looking fo good :

Cheers

PS - Next time we take the trailer it's going on the back of a tilt tray!!!!! :evil3:

wasnt really much of a competition for you Ramon.... great looking car!!!
as the guys have already said... thanks to all for the great day. great to see everyone on time even at that stupidly early starting time... but as proven with the trailer incident, starting that early makes it worth it when an unfortunate incident like that happens... we still had a great display without too much trouble.!!
also to everyone for helping out from the beginning in the cold setting up to cooking to working gate duty and then packing up.... really helps the committee out when everyone lends a hand and helps us for the day... thanks..

and i think that Ben and steve deserve a mention... steve for representiong the club all day on CFC duty, but also for giving up another night a month all year to attend the CFC meetings every month... which are meetings just to sort out and organise the day.. not sure too many in the club realise this is a year long job..!!!
while others did help to sort the day, Ben really did do most of it himself, including all the sorting of names and where people were parked, sorting gate rosters, ALL the food and drinks for the day as well as spending tons of time sorting the trailer out to be ready (which was a shame it didnt make it, it looks great..!!)

bring on the next show.... motorshow display!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Brett and Mark for the photos. Also thank you Steve Lamb for accomodating the car's particulars and forwarding it to CFC.The details you provided for the judging of the cars were very vital into making this workout.
