Default Final Details Page 2 - NSW Peter Warren All Ford Day July 31st

:edit:

Final details Page Two

:edit:

A heads up for all NSW members who want to participate in the biggest All Ford Day in NSW (and the country? maybe?), the date is July 31st. It's across the road from the Warrick Farm dealership, so I am informed by RATT.

So write that one in your diaries, will be a good chance to put our cars and club on display. Hopefully with Lee Anne, we'll have a banner made up as well.

Tim

Thanks Rob!

Ok, thanks to much help from xrgran, and added confirmation from the organisers, here is a quick heads up on what is happening!

The entry time is from 7:00am to 9:00am. We need to come in via Gate C, the "Members Car Park" gate off the Hume Highway. Also the cars can't move or leave during the day, until the event finishes at 4:00pm. I'll give more details as the day arrives though.

I'll be trying to get a few things for us to do during the day (have to babysit you lot in case you get restless), I'll be bringing club stickers for sale, and also we can check out all sorts of Fords from all types of clubs (and have your car checked out too).

The cost is $20, but money raised goes to Westmead Childrens Hospital, so it's for a good cause. You've got time to save a couple bucks a week until then, and the hospital will appreciate it. You'll also get a sponsor bag of things (I am led to beleive), and we'll have a club display set up.

From talking to some of you on msn, I know you're keen, and thats great. It's supporting a good cause and will be the first car show for alot of you (and suprisingly, the first show for my Focus too).

Anyways, thats a quick heads up, save a dollar where you can for the Childrens Hospital, and plan to come along.

Tim

Um, I have a question in regards to what/who will be there? Like, i dont care if i park my car with the other eurofords or if i dont... but if i go i will prob park it there just for the hell of it! lol. But i was just wondering, what exactly is there? Like, are there Old and new GTs? Show cars... what exactly?

I went last year Teki. There are cars for all era's. I was with the FPV tickford club display last year and we had the mustang club beside us. There were XA's and XY GT's, Lasers, Cosworth's, Model T's, XF's, XE's, Cortina's and cars from the 40's, 50's, 60's. There was also a public area for non club members. The minginator was also in attendance. BA's & AU's. Show cars and everyday hacks. If it wears the blue oval, its welcome.

Peter Warren also bring over a dozen cars. Mequires were on hand as too were Krispy Kreme's.

There were some drivers there like John Bowe and Craig Lowndes and Glenn Seaton doing autographs. Merchandise and the FPV similator. Plenty of food. There were even some carnival stuff for the kids.

Theres heaps to see and do. Its a worth while day.

As Bucky said, it is a day NOT to be missed. Even the 'darker side' had a few people walking around admiring the cars on display.

And the Simulator is now SBR...all decked out in new finery. Go Rusty! :eclipsee_

The money isn't hard to save and it goes to a good cause, plus it'll be a good day out, there'll be so much stuff on.

Plus I'll organise some things for those who go on the day too - don't expect me to bring a monopoly board game though! There'll be lots of other stuff on.

Also, your car is great and we'd appreciate having you there.

Yea... the money does go to a good cause! Would just rather have more mods before doing something like that... maybe if my car was lowered etc. ATM its stock with a spoiler and tints! lol

Im looking at lowering the car about 1 inch (not alot... as the driveway is steep), but i still think it will be too low because of the 16s. If its lowered before July 31st, ill be in... but i doubt it.

I will try to be there though! I really would love seeing some old mustangs and new GTs

It's about being there as a group, noone expects every car in the club to be modified beyond beleif.

And we don't have an allotted amount of spaces, however many cars we bring will be catered for. It would be nice to have a display of a variety of cars, and Teki, your Fiesta is one of the nicest in the club!

Too true guys.

I have just come back from the Mequires Motor-Ex and noticed the notice re: All Ford Day. I'm looking forward to participating! I also had a word with one of the guys from the RS Owners Club and there were a few great looking Escorts etc there, Timmeh.

I'll definitely be there, and Abraxas will be debuting his Cougar with the club at the show, from talking to him.

The list of confirmed and people who have previously expressed they will be there:
Timmeh (Focus)
Lotsy (Fiesta)
Whippet Zetec (Focus)
Fast Eddie (Focus)
Abraxas (Cougar)
Cypher (Fiesta)
Mista Fiesta? (Fiesta)
Teki04? (Fiesta)

The more the merrier

Will have the meet-up place and time confirmed tonight or tomorrow, but it will be around Parramatta Road in the morning, I am guessing 6.30 or 7am.

It'll be good to have you there. Bring toys, toys are fun!

Just organising a meetup point now. It's going to be early to ensure our club gets together as a group, but its a good cause, remember it's for the children at Westmead Childrens Hospital!

Posting soon with maps, the venue will be Krispy Kremes Liverpool in the Megacenta Liverpool, on the Cumberland Highway (otherwise known as 2-20 Orange Grove Road there). This is easy for anyone coming from the north or south, and the carpark there is massive. The FPV & XR Owners Club of Newcastle will also be meeting up there, for info.

We're meeting up for a 7am departure from Krispy Kremes (yes, it's an early one, we're sorry, but it's only once and it's a good cause) so we will arrive at the venue before 7.30am. This ensures we get to set up as a club.

LeeAnne has the banner made up, a special thanks to her for her help and support with that.

Maps coming soon, and final details. We want everyone who can bring their car to be there, show the state we exist and have nice cars! I'll also have stickers on sale, and you should get a sponsor showbag when you display your car.

Meetup Final Details

Venue: Krispy Kremes Liverpool, in the Megacenta Liverpool, on the Cumberland Highway (otherwise known as 2-20 Orange Grove Road, it's all part of the Cumberland Highway, the purple number 7). For those coming from the north or south, just get onto the Cumberland and follow it to Krispy Kremes, easy as.

The red arrow is Krispy Kremes on the Cumberland. The green arrow is the route we will be taking to the venue, at the orange arrow.

Time: 6.45am meetup, ready to roll out by 7am. Sorry it's so early, but as they wouldn't book us spots for our cars, we have to turn up as a group so we can have our club display. It's only once this year, and it's for the children at the hospital.

Date: This Sunday coming, July 31st 2005

Cost: $20 entry fee, this lets you display your car, be eligible for awards, and gets you a sponsor bag (I have been told) but most importantly, that money goes to the Westmead Childrens Hospital for the kids. Also, bring a few bucks for lunch, there'll be food stalls there.

What to bring: A clean car, and cleaning products you may want to use once you get there as well. A camera, jumper in case it's a cold day (at 7am it is likely to be cold). UHF radio if you have one. Bring cards if you think you may want to have a game or two with friends there, though there'll be so much to see and do.

Just a spurt from the organisers:

"AUSTRALIA’S BIGGEST EXHIBIT OF CLASSIC FORD COLLECTABLE VEHICLES WILL BE ON DISPLAY IN ONE LOCATION. IN EXCESS OF 50,000 MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND THIS SPECTACULAR EVENT.

OVER 1000 FORD VEHICLES COVERING 20 FORD MARQUES, (MUSTANGS, FALCON GT’s & GTHO’s, THUNDERBIRDS, GALAXIES, MODEL A’s, MODEL T’s, FAIRLANES, CAPRI’s, EARLY FORD V8’s, FORD TICKFORD CARS, XC COBRA’s AND MANY MORE), WORTH OVER 20 MILLION DOLLARS WILL BE ON SHOW FOR THE PUBLIC TO VIEW & ADMIRE.

MARCOS AMBROSE; RUSSELL INGALL ; CONFIRMED STARTERS
GLENN SETON; STEVE JOHNSON; PROBABLES
JASON BRIGHT & GREG RITTER; PROBABLES
CRAIG LOWNDES; MAYBE

JOHN GOSS WILL BE MAKING A GUEST APPEARANCE WITH HIS BATHURST WINNING XA COUPE.

SPECIAL INTEREST VEHICLES: SPECIAL INTEREST DISPLAYS INCLUDE:

FORD V8 SUPERCARS POLICE HIGHWAY PATROL DISPLAY

FORD’S NEW “FOCUS” NSW FIRE BRIGADE DISPLAY

PLUS MANY MORE TBA NEPEAN RESCUE SQUAD

FOR THE KIDS: FORD PERFORMANCE RACING SIMULATOR
A MERRY GO ROUND AND JUMPING CASTLE (FREE)
CLOWNS AND FACE PAINTING (FREE)
MINATURE HOT RODS RIDES (FREE)
PONY RIDES & PETTING FARM (FREE)

TRADE VENDORS PETER WARREN FORD
& SPONSORS: FPV MERCHANDISING (FORD PERFORMANCE VEHICLES) MEGUAIR’S SHOWCAR SHINE PRODUCTS

SHANNON’S CLASSIC CAR INSURANCE
VARIOUS FORD V8 SUPERCAR MERCHANDISING TRUCKS
MODEL CARS, POSTERS, CLOTHING ANY MANY MORE."

I'll be doing up a certificate to send to people that come to thank you for turning up to the All Ford Day and supporting the Childrens Hospital, just something small but I appreciate those that can come.

xrgran is bringing some Ford flags for those of our club members attending too, which will be awesome. A special thanks goes to her for her support of our club in this event.

Any questions, ask them straight up. If anyone needs my mobile number, PM me. I'm looking forward to it, I want people to come if they can.
