Default My Boat (powered by Ford)

Just cleaned out the shed so i pulled the boat out. didnt have time to clean it and i need to sand the wood back and re polished but here she is anyway.

got a rebuilt 292 Yblock. it was done by some performance shop back in the 80s. sounds freakin unbelievable due to the work done to it and the fact that exhausts are less than 1.5meters in lengh. im about to get a better manifold for it and a reco 4 barrel carbie, this ones a bit small but its all we had at them time. its does the job but it could be better.

i cant wait to get it all schmicko. hopefully this year.

lol whose been playing round with the redline.

It must be a different boat, but it looks exactly the same except for the scoop. It was the first Y block that I had ever seen.

oh ok. yeah was the first y block i ever saw, aparently they were very popular in the 80s (in boats). id like to drop a bigger motor in but this ones fine, worked and does the job... maybe the 5.0 out of the eb one day lol.

thats a pretty hot little boat you have there RD. sounds very nice.

A friend and myself use to restore Cris Craft boat some years back most of them had either 455 cadillacs or flat heads in them. I have a very nice six carb manifold for one of those old y-blocks. Thats one nice boat.
