Default Closure of Wheels Of Time Bookshop, Dandenong

Today I visited Wheels of Time in Dandenong, and they are closing their doors on May 15 and going to be operating as a mail order business.

Reason given was lease expiry and illness of one of the owners (husband/wife) team, they have been there for 23 years.

I have been a customer there for 14 years and they have been a fantastic place to shop.

Now the only specialist motoring bookshop left is Motor Book World in Canterbury.

Pitstop in Perth has gone the same way. Ebay pirate sales of CD copies of workshop manuals is part of the issue.

Sad news. They are about 15 minutes away from my place and I have bought plenty from them over the years.I like to go in there and browse before I buy something. You can't do that on a computer...

You are thinking of Motor Book World. It has now moved and is owned by David. Great guy and a wealth of knowledge, with heaps of cool books and magazines etc. There is a website...
