Default Remove LZ Focus wheel Nuts

Hi All,
LZ Focus wheel nut removal
Sitting at home, trying to work out how to get these wheel nuts off.
Is there a trick, are they removable covers with the actual lug underneath, if so, what is the best way to remove

OE lever does not fit over the nut

thanks

Had those wheel nuts on my LT focus It is a chrome cap over a nut. not supposed to remove the chrome cap but they do come off if a rattle gun is used to take the nuts off.

so what are you supposed to do if you are changing tyre without a rattle gun, or on the side of the road?

Would you know if they can be pulled off with pliers, some YouTube vids do suggest this.

May just go to a tyre shop. & get some new, better, nuts instead.

The original wheel brace will fit over the covers. They can be a little tight if the wheel nuts have been abused. The less a rattle gun is used the better off they will be.

Went out and spent $60 on new nuts today, and had them fitted - better to be safe than sorry.
Sales guy at the tyre shop thought I was a nutter (pun intended), but the guy who swapped them over for me was well aware of the issue.
Have kept a few to have a play around with to get the cover off, just out of curiosity.

Why they need to over complicate something as simple as a wheel nut is beyond me!!!

Do I what I did got punctures rang RACQ gave up. Even with tyre shop nuts on top I still couldnt get them off with the pathetic weak gear Ford give you for tyre changing on an LZ.
