Default WT headlight upgrade

Just purchased these;
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221142531...9#ht_500wt_922

For the princely sum of $295
Any hints on fitting them?

Perhaps you can splice the DRLs into the first click of the headlight dial?

I would be careful with those lights too, in terms of legality. Whether the lamps are aligned properly, whether it's going to blind anyone, whether it's too bright or not.

I will take them to the mechanic after instillation for beam alignment.
As far as I know, they will have to be wired so the DRL's switch off when the low beams are switched on for legality.
I have found relay/wiring looms that will achieve that on the net, but they all seem to be UK based and not available to be shipped to OZ.
The seller still hasn't shipped the lights. Hope I haven't been taken for the proverbial ride.

Only received them today.
Disappointingly Aus Post had abused the packages enough to break one of the tabs that a bolt goes through. lucky I have some special plastic glue, so now looks like all OK.
Plugged one in and it works, but not like DRL's should. They only come on as parkers. There is however a set of three wires with a very small plug that I do not know where to plug in. I have written to the seller and the manufacturer for guidance.
Will keep you posted and hopefully get some pics up.

Looks great and great buy compared to the $899 they want for a new set. Did you manage to get the LEDs running correctly?

Waiting on a Canbus module from the UK.
Seller doesn't ship to OZ, so I'll have to use a reshipping agent.

I took it for a run last night. Low beams are fine. Will need to adjust the highs.
Warnings on the lights not to install HID's. bummer.

Never install HIDs in reflectors/projectors designed for halogen lights, throws light everywhere but on the road.

Also, did you have the factory halogen projector assemblies on your WT?

but he's got projectors now? it's saying to not install HIDs in the projectors methinks.

There are no projector lights offered for any WT fiestas from the factory.

The upgrades are projectors.
The standard WT's are not.

What I meant was don't install HID in halogen reflectors/projectors.

There are projectors out there designed for halogen and these are it and same with the factory upgrades.

I was asking about his old WT assemblies because I was curious if they were projector ones, as I would have bought them off him
