true but its the feat of engineering all this yourself. you dont actually go out and buy these cars, you build them from nothing, and you keep re-designing to make them faster than the competitions cars.
to think that a 10cc engine has the power to move something 200mph is pretty amazing.
still would like to see one get away and hit something!

its attached to a cable. no one controls it. when you want it to stop, you put a straw broom out and it hits a wire sticking up which then shuts off the fuel.

My Grandad use to race those things in the 40s still got some around here some where. Was talking to a bloke last weekend about these things and the world recored is 345mph now that is bloody fast. Davway if they do brake lose there is a seperate wire that puls the fuel and they shut of pretty dam quick.

how is it a remote controlled car if no one is controlling it with a remote?
isn't it just an engine that keeps going as long as fuel is supplied?

excuse the ignorance if its an obvious answer

i simply called it rc as it is the same principle as normal rc, just that it isnt really controlled as such.
would you prefer me to put in the heading "200mph Nitro cars" so everyone thinks they are real cars.
i know what your saying though, technically they arent rc as such.

Still, @ 200mph, if it takes 0.5 sec for the fuel to be killed it has moved 45meters!

Impressive none the less!!!
