Default The Interview....... don't bother

Downloaded the movie yesterday to take a look at what all the fuss is about and............. what a load of garbage it is. It is typical Seth Rogan over the top sophomoric humor. James Franco over plays his role to the point I nearly had to turn it off.

This piece of junk is so bad it'll get nominations for a rassie or 3 come award season for sure and I'm starting to think it may have been a deliberate set up by Sony to drum up some interest in the film.

I can't remember when I sat through a film that is this bad.

It's only been released in the US. You can purchase it but you need a US based credit card and proxy.

Too juvenile and low brow for my taste but each to their own. It'd be a dull old place if we all thought the same way.

Normally I wouldn't bother with anything with him in it, although I liked Superbad. I want to see it now because of all the hype. Can a movie actually make Nth Korea look bad? I thought they did a good enough job of that themselves.

thanks for the warning Bushy,
i actually dont mind some juvenile low brow movies, but as a rule i dont actively seek them out, but it depends on the actors, "Spies like us" with Dan Acroyd, and Chevy Chase, no problems.
i like the science fiction, adventure, action, spy type, movies, even a good who dunnit sometimes .
That said one of my hates about a lot of modern movies ........... is the back ground noise often drowns out the whole movie, it drowns out the dialogue, and often the incessant explosions special effects or just so bloody loud you have to keep turning the idiot box down and then back up again through the whole movie, the audio is all over the place.
A blatant fault in movie making , some of these bloody movies , i just dont know how they manage to get to the big screen, fair dinkum........ surely somebody must look at the movie before hand and see actors conversing but no dialogue is heard because of back ground noise or music ???
surely if they can spend 150 million on great special effects and 20 million dollar actors fees, they can spend 50 bucks on having someone edit the audio ??
Im sure the majority of old old movies such a blatant lack of care in movie making would not have occurred too often,
sorry.... rant over.
i saw Lucy on the box the other day , its probably a bit far fetched for some, i thought it was not too bad though.......either that or i just have a thing for Scarlett Johansson .

Well that's just confirmed it for me.
Thought it looked craptastic from the previews.

Surely you knew that going into it with the subject matter and cast, what were you expecting?

I expected to see what all the "controvercy" was about. But after enduring the entire movie I can't see what all the fuss is about as it's just purile crap and would have died a quick and natural death, like all good flops, if the hacking controvercy had not been brought to light.

The term "storm in a teacup" comes to mind.

I think it was more the content that caused all the drama not the genre. I agree with the last bit though, maybe it was publicity stunt after all?

i saw a what i thought decent flick on netflix tonight, jason statham was the lead dude, it was a bit different to his usual head kicking movies, a bit more gangster type violence, none of the usual fancy kicking *** type stuff , but it had a decent story to it imo, , the movie title was Redemption, i wont spoil it by revealing the story, but worth a look imo if you have not seen it.
