Ah yes, now its clear. Being a rep only tells me you have a one sided view of the situation. Trust me what you think is the norm at Ford is not the norm in the real world. If you really believe that the way the unions have acted at Ford has had no bearing on what has happened than you haven't learnt a thing.

I saw the pollies banging on about them being excempt for the carbon tax, but Hokey mentioned it was worth $160M to QANTAS. Now thats not chicken feed but would we be having this conversation if the loss was only $100M because thats about whats left even if they got rebated.

I cant see the issue with foreign ownership being upped unless a local wants to step up..which they wont. Fact is its getting costly to do business in Oz..this is a wider issue the gov needs to look at. Im actually ok they have held firm as they did with Ford, you cant start making exceptions.

I wonder what the cost would be for the gov to buy it back, would it be cheaper than the issues to come if it falls harder?

So people stopped buying large cars because of the unions. Good one mate.
