yeah, they are worth a bit.
i have about 30+ different panel beating hammers
it makes your job easier, to just be able to grab the right one.
short handles, different weight heads, shrinking hammers, pointed tips
flat tips, sharp flat tips, different sized ball peins etc etc

although i dont buy that many brand new, a couple were $50ea new, another one was $75.
i usually find them at car boot sales etc
repolish them or customise them to suit a job, and they are good to go.
quite a few i have picked up for $4 or $5

guess it's just how people have setup their accounts.
a mate used to have his setup in US dollars too
he was buying a lot of stuff from the USA at the time
was easy to see how much he had in paypal without having to convert it over to AU dollars

also with that being an 1800's hammer, it has lasted/endured very well
some of mine have taken a fair beating...

He's even asking $35 for one of the cheap funky coloured Audiosonic cube clock/radios that Dickies and other sold for $6.99 and lasted about 3 weeks

and a pair of old 70s 3 channel 27MHz marine handheld radios that you'd throw out because they are and were always completely useless, he's asking over $270

No doubt some of his stuff is probably worth what he's asking but the majority is just cheap Chinese crap that hasn't been sold for 10 years, He's got hold of some unsold stock at auction

I seriously doubt the panel hammer is 1800s more like 10-20 years old and looks like it's been repaired, and the fibreglass hammer(missing it's rubber handle) can be bought new for under $20, and hardly "Rare"

He is using USD because paypal will convert any payment to you to USD and then back to AUD when it's withdrawn from your paypal account

I've got an antique hammer, it's Been passed down through the generations. I am the 4th generation to have it. In its lifetime it's had the handle replaced 7 times and the head replaced 3 times

Lols at the 1st ad , about the only thing it ended up doing was `anti rattle` in the toolbox then made good for paperweight then retired to shelf where you direct fire when working on cars and something really ticks you off
