Unhappy Help looking for a new phone

Hey guys

well as the title says I need to get a new phone(7250i) due to getting it stolen at Rye Carnival used:.

But anyways i just need to know if there are any good retail shops in melbourne for cheap outright phones or even cheaper prepaid phones.

Thanks

P.S: I hope whoever has my phone chokes on it! :

I am in the same boat as you at the momemt as my n-gage got broken.

I suggest that you try ebay for a new 7250i or whatever your plan to get next. I got my n-gage from there it was brand new for $165 ($500 in shops). I am planning on getting my new phone from ebay too (probably a nokia 6600)

not sure bout ebay because i dont wanna use the card cos my dad will find out and really crack it :P but my mum will let me spend only $150 with her money which is better than nothing, but if theres a good deal for $200 then maybe i will be able to spend abit more.

u dont have to use a credit card to buy things off ebay. You can use direct deposit, which is what i allways use because i dont have a credit card.

With buying phones off Ebay, how do you get them activated on the networks? Just buy a SIM Card and stick it in?

I doubt i'd be able to use ebay since its my mums money im gonna use so its strickly retail shops but i might just get this phone on prepaid http://www.optus.com.au/portal/site/...006801540aRCRD (149$ phone)
which looks alright but its a downgrade from a phone which i recently bought which sucks

i haven't had any problems with it at all, I just found that the battery didn't last very long (i'm a heavy user) because it is so small.

Price wise, i think $200 would be more than fair, I have the box, book and instructions

It's about 12 months old.

Very. I've sold and bought several and as long as you check the description on what you're buying you should be right. Even some of the damaged ones are a score as a lot require simple fixes(damaged screen/new battery) from mobile phone repairers and they're like new again.

From Reviews I've read, Sony Ericssons are very good generally.

A couple of review websites I know of, GSM Arena and Mobile-review, which could be quite helpful.
