100% not that. He dailys the little bike when he used to daily the big one. Ive riden the big one before, it makes more then 10 times the bakers dozen of horsepower the little one does. Still is beyond me why he likes the thing so much

The funny thing was, after i bought the thing, cleaned it up and whatnot, my brother took it on a sunday ride with his riding mates as one of his mates daughters who was on her L's was coming along so they changed route to nothing above 80kph roads. His riding mates before seeing the thing were teasing him (well me to him) about it. But, when they saw it and found out that it was $1500 with 12 months rego and 21k on the odo reckoned it was the buy of the century.
Anyhows, weeks later my brother tells me he had someone offer 3k to buy it. Did he call me at the time, nope. I would easily have said yes. Then not long after he bought it off me. I had done my Ps on it so was done with bikes so whatever. I was thinking he would sell it at a profit but no. He rides it. To be fair, for comuting its fine. 130kgs with a full tank of fuel. 300-400km range out of that 10L depending on how you ride it. 0-100 in about 15 seconds on a down hill with a tail wind, so any form of speeding is active speeding. Top speed, well, 100 is a push, not like the z1000 that does 130 in 1st..... |

Why is it that apparent means clearly visible or understood and obvious, but apparently means that something seems to be true, but may not be?

Same reason i guess news reporters say stuff like the victim was allegedly shot/stabbed or whatever when that term means an accusation with no formal proof. Pretty sure gunshot or stab wounds means the victim was infact shot or stabbed....

Why is it that no matter how careful I am using Superglue it ends up getting everywhere and I am more likely to stick my fingers together than what I am trying to fix!

Superglue is one thing, roll-on bedliner is another. Ever see this thread?

I wish they put a subtle tint in the glue so I can see where it has been applied.

Why is it the roof of AGR International Inc in Butler, Pennsylvania was just cleaned with high pressure washers? Aren't crime scenes meant to be preserved to allow evidence to be collected!

I'm guessing that after 1 week they've collected all the evidence needed & that, as per usual practice, a forensic cleaning team has now cleaned the site.

Yeah the river of blood running down into the gutter not attractive, and not much evidence needed, I think they shot the right bloke.

Who shot him? The secret service or the police?

Why is it, that seemingly regardless of the type, retail work seems to be one of the most soul destroying jobs you can be in?

that the normal operating temperature of the coolant is reached before the normal operating temperature of the engine oil?
Also been wondering why... when going up a long hill at wide open throttle (WOT) for say 10 minutes, that the oil pressure increases as the engine gets hotter. The temp gauge will read one bar higher, and the oil pressure will read 2 bars higher.. and the oil temp will also read 2 bars hotter on the gauge that is.. I have confirmed that the truck (UD Nissan) does not have a variable pressure oil pump. I thought that the oil pressure would go down slightly, being that the oil is hotter and thinner.. Your thoughts..

From my understanding of engines oil pressure, it increases with RPM, temperature will alter readings slightly, but RPM and engine load is the main factor with oil pressure.

Oil viscosity is a lot higher when cold, so it takes longer for a given volume of oil to circulate through the engine than water does from cold.

Coolant temp goes up quickly because the thermostat is closed and there is no coolant flowing through the radiator. The purpose of the thermostat is to restrict coolant flow and keep the engine hot. Without a thermostat your engine will run cold a lot of the time.

Why is it when you leave a pen in the centre console, it never works again?

Why is it that a new front exhaust system for a current Supra is $12,000 trade from Toyota, wouldn't be more than $100 worth of steel in it and a hour of labour in bends, I think they are taking the p!$$.

Yep, this one hasn't even been made yet, 6-10 weeks from Japan, the thing that sucks is that the car is 80% BMW G9 Z4, but the exhaust is different because the Supra is designed as track car and the Z4 is for a mid life crisis

Why is that trucking companies seemingly no longer need a depot? Our local industrial areas seem to have become the de facto dumping ground for trailers not in use, if not entire truck/trailers between runs. Even maintenance is being carried out on the street, and even old tyres just being dumped on the nature strip (not too mention all the garbage from inside their cabs).
