So those of you that have these lights already, is it worth the risk putting them on?

there is a red tint paint - like there is the black tint.....

find me where mud flaps are required on sedan's with low ground clearance
i think you'll find they're more a requirement for higher cars like 4wd's etc.

If they were fitted at the factory, they are required by law to remain on the car. If the cops don't like you, or are smartarses, they are within their right to defect you for not having mudflaps.

while i do beleive this could be very possible requirement, i'd like to see some kind of document stating this is required, i wonder if there are exceptions or even requirements to 'replacements'

For victoria:

hxxp://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/rsc...20Part%20A.htm

Mudflaps are not normally required on passenger car type vehicles. However, mudflaps must be in place on vehicles where they form part of the wheelguard system such as on some motor bikes, heavy vehicles and vehicles with a tray type body.

For passenger cars the tyre section width at the top of the tyre must be covered when the wheels are in the straight ahead position. For motorcycles, side cars and trikes, guards must cover the tyre section width.

Yeah, heaps of the road laws are.
we discussed earlier the requirements of the lights from state to state, its ridiculous to have different laws a mere 1000km's from one major city to the next.

Well until I get pulled over and defected I won't be sticking reflectors or tinting or anything...

I can't see them as being dangerous either.
