No, I didn't think so.

Things must be awfully quiet in the Fiesta section of this forum!!!!!!
"Occassionally things go pear shaped."

Hmmm.

So the loss of life is things going "pear shaped."

Ok. Interesting. My view of life is obviously different to others on here.

I'll just say this: Are you prepared to lose your wife? Your son? Your daughter? As you are sitting innocently in your car coming home from a day out?

Are you prepared to write this off as collateral damage - at their funeral would you go "oh well, things went pear shaped?"

If not don't comment.

Ok enough.

The topic is the new promotional GT R-Spec.

Any more politics or bleeding heart stories will be treated as off topic and warned accordingly.

FFS the police did it for exposure.

And judging by the amount of posts on this thread they made the right choice.

consider starting a spit ya dummy thread for those hell bent on carrying on with the cop bashing and let them go for it.......so we can then enjoy this thread and what it was started for and no added whining.

Can't you just be happy for Ford and FPV... that this is great for them.

Nup... not on Ford Forums.

I seriously cant believe the way people on this site carry on now days and act like a bunch of Nannas.
If the NRMA's Open Road magazine was a forum it would be this place.
The only issue I have with the car is the fact it is 400KW.
It should be 500KW!

I read through this thread earlier and thought 'wow, if this is the level of whinging on a Ford Forum about a Hot GT Pursuit special, imagine the cry fest over at LS1.com'
Then i wondered over for a look...99% praise from the other side.

Great concept, great car and great for Ford.

Go get em!

I saw this R Spec GT at Intune Motorsport about 4 weeks ago. It had standard number plates and the livery wasn't fitted yet.

John was asked to keep the power lever to around 400kw.

They did the cat back exhaust, tune and pulley swap resulting in an easy 406rwkw...

Yes!
A dramatic improvement over the XR6Ts currently in use (not that there's anything wrong with that....:-)
Here (in Newcastle) the XR6Ts used by Hwy Patrol appear to be lowered and wear 19 or 20" black 5-spokers, which carry a certain air of authority.
i believe they all have premo brakes as a given.
Anyway, that R-Spec is sweeeeet.

Everyone has their own tastes but how can any one criticize an FPV GT335 RSpec 406rkw pursuit on a Ford forum without looking like a troll. Especially when the actual police department didn't pay for it as such and any form of publicity like this is good?

Can't see it really

Best post of the thread . This is an impressive car (even more so when you find out it's RW Kw) and regardless of cost true Ford enthusiasts should be behind it

Pursuit, build time is around 3 months for FPVs. Gives you plenty of time to build your fortress.
