Love the use of suede material.
This unfortunately makes the FG's interior look quite sub-par. The 2014 Falcon really needs some serious investment in materials and quality and do away with the cheap & nasty plastics they have enjoyed using since BA. LED lighting simply has to be featured on the Falcon update.

Interior looks great, front looks good but the rear doesn't blend in at all with the VE panels. Makes the car look like a photo chop

As a loyal Ford fan, I hate to say it: this thing looks damn good. And to think we need to wait another year to play catch up. Hmmm....

Kind of looks like a camry reversed into a current model lancer hatch and they fused together. Love the interior, I would hope the HUD could de activated as I am not a fan of those things. I prefer to see only what is on the road, I don't want to be trying to view the road whilst staring through an image of my speed.

I can't wait for the painted silver interior plastics fad to end. I have never seen it done well, even on high end Mercs.
Edit: it is actually satin chrome in the Commodore so may look good in daylight. |

-It looks like a 1972-76 Vauxhall Victor -Looks like a 10 year old Nissan pulsar n16 front end -Looks like a VE had a roll in the hay with a Chrysler 300. Very American -dodge wants their calibre back.. -Looks like a Euro piece of ####!

Yes Ford copy Holden and have a live on line reveal . Ford new model releases are pretty tame...aggression needs to be stepped up...in marketing

We can say what we want. Ford need to counter and do it fast. If we think 780 sales is bad...Let's not bag this car just because we love our Falcon. Unfortunately, this Commodore raises the bar and if Ford don't tweak their pricing to compete, we won't see the higher end of 780 sales again.

Ford had one for the SZ Territory. I don't see why the FG update would be any different.

Every Falcon sedan since EA has had a Hofmeister kink.

Nice...but not my cup of tea I think.
But after all this design work etc, they still have that stupid antenna on the roof.

Some of these official concept pics look 100 times better, they really played it safe in production model.
http://www.caradvice.com.au/212871/h...gn-concept-01/ Hope the falcon goes out on a limb

An improvement over the VE for sure. It's nothing original (not that I think the 2014 Falcon will be either), but probably enough to keep the buyers coming in.

Yeah the base Commodore is getting lane departure warning, city crash warning, park assist, rear cross traffic warning (reversing out of a driveway it will warn you if cars are coming down the road). Also the park assist does parallel parks and reverse 90 degree parks. Someone who is at the launch texted saying that when you option a V8 on the Calais you now get a subtle lip spoiler on the back. The V6 remains plain. |

I think the Falcon will go more bold in styling, as maybe shown in the upcoming Modeo/Ford Fusion. |

Great car but three things that bug me:
The chrome side piece which runs the the length of the bottom of the doors looks like it should have been designed to incorporate into the the fender vent, it just stop half an inch from the vent - they could of really incorporated a nice feature having it run into the vent. Speaking of the vent, it looks like it needs it incorporate the curve of the wheel arch more - it looks too straight. Lastly, the mirrors aargh the mirrors were one of the worst things about the VE and they are still there. |

Wow, i really like it... Interior is VERY nice.
That is the first commodore that i like, and it's always been interiors that put me off them the most. |
