An Islamic state (Arabic: دولة إسلامية‎‎ dawlah islāmiyah) is a type of government primarily based on the application of shari'a (Islamic law), dispensation of justice, maintenance of law and order.[1] From the early years of Islam, numerous governments have been founded as "Islamic".[2]
However, the term "Islamic state" has taken on a more specific connotation since the 20th century. The concept of the modern Islamic state has been articulated and promoted by ideologues such as Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Israr Ahmed, and Sayyid Qutb. Like the earlier notion of the caliphate, the modern Islamic state is rooted in Islamic law. It is modeled after the rule of Muhammad. However, unlike caliph-led governments which were imperial despotisms or monarchies (Arabic: malik), a modern Islamic state can incorporate modern political institutions such as elections, parliamentary rule, judicial review, and popular sovereignty.
Today, many Muslim countries have incorporated Islamic law, wholly or in part, into their legal systems. Certain Muslim states have declared Islam to be their state religion in their constitutions, but do not apply Islamic law in their courts. Islamic states which are not Islamic monarchies are usually referred to as Islamic republics

Yes its true there was a power vacuum filled by the Ex Iraq army. 2 things can be true at the same time.

To clarify I should not have said organisation but on the other hand what do you refer to them as. They are hardly a government.
You seem to have missed the part where I said ISIS would use any means possible.

He has no business being "commander in chief", what a joke ( draft dodger ).

He even has the gall to salute those in uniform.

He should kiss their feet.

Hello!

And that video I posted last night seems to be getting some coverage. MSN have been quiet about the following:

I think there is a pattern here.

Blokes that went to uni, got deferments from the Vietnam war and then went on to live 'successful' lives in politics, law, accounting, teaching in schools and unis.

Consequently it would be unusual to see a Vietnam veteran, particularly a combat soldier, engaged in a 'professional' career.

The other point, I believe, is that having experienced a life lesson in combat, veterans fail to see the challenge in climbing the corporate ladder.

They learned that life is a gift.

Whilst many WW11 veterans became politicians I can only recall two Vietnam veterans in politics - Tim Fischer and Graham Edwards

To ensure power I just assumed that as true. Saw a docco awhile back that made the case that the military and religious leadership teamed up to form ISIS. Power sharing arrangement can't seem to find it

But not many people know this or forget it but its been a mess for a long period. Obv US put Saddam in place to begin with etc etc.

Both sides are equally to blame. Trump isn't even a real Republican he's just Trump and had nothing to do with foreign affairs so a complete cleanskin as it were.

In the 90's after the first war the Bush admin put sanctions on Iraq that were continued by the Clinton admin. between the 2 admins its estimated that the cost was 500k Iraqi children.

Here is Bill Clinton's secretary of State talking about whether those deaths were worth it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0WDCYcUJ4o

Trump is likely to fail just like those before him.

Bill Clinton was in the same boat, and similar to G.W Bush. It would have been commonplace amongst the middle-class/elite.

You'd know. We may have had a different drafting system to the States. A mate of mine, aged 19 at the time, was in the 3rd Battalion at Balmoral and the Tet Offensive - spent roughly 18 months over there and what I can gather from his 'stories', most of his buddies (excluding officers) were not University students. I'll hit him up next week.

Sean Spicer press conference 2 days ago. Has to be frustrating:

After reading this, I only hope "some one" is actually running the USA.

The USA appears to be a corrupt broken society.

I would have thought all this would have stopped after January 20th !

If the current President cannot rectify this, then no one can.

Latest reports coming from the Trump Train!!

U.S. consumer confidence hits more than 16-year high:

Now this was 'part of' the Lefts reply to Sean Spicer's press conference, on MSNBC, when that Lady kept asking the same questions over and over, and then started shaking her head when she couldn't handle the truth.

Last but not least, this is the DNC chairperson having another rant about the election.

Oh and coupeking check out Trumps rallies where people are bashed for simply being there, all incited by Trump.

I don't know what planet you're on mate but in regards to the riots/protests, the amount of arrests made and destruction caused by the left compared to the right is bowling balls and oranges.

Maybe start reading and watching with both eyes open.

Wants to slash their budget by $2bill, silences their social media, donates $78,000.

Easy to donate $78,000 when you can play a round of golf on a weekend at your own resort, have the American taxpayer pay 10 times that amount for the pleasure - and the money go right into your own pocket.
