Its gunna be flogged to death on channel 7, it dont need to be on all the other channels as well. All we will hear on the news after the doom n gloom is olympics this n that.

I love the olympics, its only on for 2 weeks so deal with it :P unlike AFL on nearly all year round. stupid sport. Rugby ftw!!

I love the Olympic's also so for channel 7 to show Port Adelaide (Yuk) vs Collingwood (Yuk) on Friday night instead of the Olympic Games they could have transfered the footy to there footy partner Channel 10.

I've found that the commentary that goes with the Olympics presentation is atrocious.

The commentators the way they carry on are so embarrassing. For example with the 4 man rowing yesterday, they must have had the script ready for them coming first, but came second in the finish. They still carried on as though they won, being like the awesome foursome etc etc. Also them carrying on about, and with Stephanie Rice the other day, way over the top.

Its an Aussie ****fest by the usual extremely way over the top biased assed idiots that usuaully dont know anything about the sport that they are commentating except for that it has Australians in it.

Beach volleyball yesterday - Aus vs Brazil (from what I gather the best in world)..Brazil leading 18-10 or something and Australia get a lucky point. The silly commentator suddenly gets up and about and barks up "AND HERE COME THE AUSSIES (at 18-11) THEY HAVE A GOOD CHANCE HERE (of beating the world champs who only need 3 points to win)" cocommentator "I HAVE A GOOD FEELING - THESE GIRLS LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES"

Sure we all live in Aus and (mostly) are Australian....but geez, maybe about time for ch7 to show some decent non australian events that are original instead of swimming replays.

SBS gets my airtime, even if it is crappy quality. Unbeknown to Channel 7 most ppl want to watch the Olympics and see quality atheletes from AROUND THE WORLD competing (and being animal-like) in a variety of events other than swimming.

Wow, Glad someone else thourght the same thing. If i see one more swimming race im going to hang my self. There are so many other sports at the olympics and i dont watch TV all the time but in thr evening, Every time i sit down for the last week its swimming heats. Then they show basketball for half of 1 qtr then back to swimming.

There are also more countries than aus.

one thing id like to say is why doesnt pay tv(foxtel..aus star...) get to show it?

have 2 or 3 channels set up to JUST play olympics...play it as it happens

one thing that really ticked me off was hearing the result for the swimming in the morning and then not seeing the race till 10.30 at night..

some one said its like that because it suits america prime time? if thats true.... ***k America...

ahhh and ads in the middle of the ceremony....that was rather annoying...coz i really wanna no that coles has been around since 1914 every 10mins in the middle of the opening ceremony..

I think the swimming was on at roughly the same time we all arrived home from work, perhaps thats why everyone was so sick of it... the heats were on during the day and finals on at night. Swimming is finished now, so here comes the athletics

Plenty of other things on during the day on the weekend.

Aussie coverage is well bad. We never win silver, we lose gold. No coverage or mention of anyone else except Phelps. He is the one that has kept our gold tally down and let the poms beat us.

i was ticked off last night....started watching hockey aus Vs china....it was game to see who went to next round...loser was out...and 9mins into the game they are like and now we cross to the mens pole vault(which there was no aussies in...) normally i dont mind watching it...but not when aus are in a win or lose and your out game...

i dont mind hearing about phelps as he is one crazy guy but the coverage for the aussies is shocking....SBS seems to be better..
