Holy Thread Resurection Batman...

I've never really hurt myself. But my most scary moment was tearing my banjo string during sex... I'm sure it hurt but I was busy being terrified... I don't like blood at the best of times but it really shouldn't be squirting out of there. That'll teach me for taking a big chick home.

(Sorry big chicks. you need loving too)

Worst ive had was a head ache that kept we wake for 2 days straight no pain killers helped, ended up takin some pills to knock myeslf out. only lasted for 3 hours though then it was the same again.
Other then that, the worst would prob be kickin a door way or desk with my toes lol. Ive also in my sleep tried to pull myself up with 1 leg then wake up in pain for 30 minutes because i pull my hamstring muscle.

I have to agree with Dezza and rjo89, in year 9, 3 years ago was riding my bike home from the skate park and the chain broke on me, sending my left leg into the ground, the pedal kept my leg in place and the top half of my body kept moving, tearing my knee apart.
The pain that I felt was incredible I could not move at all without a searing pain going through my leg.
Sadly I had about another 2kms till my house, so I wheeled the bike home on one leg, then fell on the couch.
The knee had swollen to about 3 times the usual size and the pain wasn't going away.
Doctors said it was just a bruised bone and that It should heal in time, but about 2 years later after the knee continuously dislocating I found out I had been walking around with a torn ACL.
Need a knee reconstruction, just don't have the time, Meh.

Interesting thread mining going on, but anyway..

Worst pain I have endured was a twisted colon. I was 16, and it lasted for 3 days. 1 day at home, and the remaining 2 days in hospital. 3 days of constant agony, half way between screaming, half way between crying. I was given some oral treatments, and I was supposed to twist into different postions, whilst someone poked at my sides, to try and get it untwisted. I was given only mild muscle relaxants and codeine for the pain, because apparently other painkillers can be detrimental to the digestive system.

My mother also had a twisted colon when she was 19. She endured the birth of 4 children, some of them not easy births, and yet she still rates the twisted colon higher on the pain scale.

I cant compare it to child birth, so its hard for me to comment, but I tell you, drifting in and out of conciousness, and being partially blind at some points, and halucinating at times.. it was painful.

I've had a severely broken (read snapped) sternum, due to a serious car accident, that was when I was 15. That was not quite as painful, but it lasted for months, and was also annoying as I became addicted to Morphine and later Codeine.

As a kid, I was being "dinked" home on one of those banana seat push bikes (yes those 70's-80's bikes).

I was on the back (pillion) facing backwards. Must of been around 7 or 8 at the time.
Going up a slight incline and as you do, being the person doing all the hard yards pedalling, you tend to stand up to get extra power.
In doing that, you also have the tendancy to sway the bike from side to side.

Well in this case, all this swaying was happening, so was my legs (swaying).
My left foot swayed to close to the wheel, and uh oh, the wheel grabbed it and jammed my left foot between the spokes and the bottom support bar of the bike. And it really locked the wheel. Hehe massive skiddie (yee har at my foot's expense)

Yah, you guessed it, big ouchies, massive pain. Still don't know how my foot never got severed or got broken bones. All I got was a way swollen left ankle.
Blew up 3 times the size of a normal ankle.

That's my massive pain.

2 cases for me. first was at my last job, i got hot liquid caustic soda in both eyes. That was alot of pain, it got worse when i took the padding off to drive the Capri home, the sun was a killer.
Other was when i had my Scrotal Hernia. Was playing volleyball and twisted to get a ball, crushed the intestine hernia thing. It was the biggest scrotal hernia the surgeon had heard seen. No wonder i was impressive in jeans.

Same thing, was about 6 years old but on the back of my brothers old 10speed with massive wheels, spokes everywhere and in goes the foot. The bike comes to a quick stop when your foot reaches the fork/frame holding the wheel. Again, don't know how my foot came out intact, just very sore.

Back pain is messed up, never got mine diagnosed but I couldn't lean to brush my teeth, remove my shoes etc. After about 3 days some strength started to come back but it was pretty depressing. All good now.

2 guys at work have recently endured kidney or gall stones (one of those horrid things that need to be "passed") and now I fear them, trying to find out what they drink so I can avoid it.

Well mines not as painful as yours but i'll say it anyway.

I was about 5 or 6, I was at my grandpa's place and he told me he caught a little bird so I went to run outside, i slipped and smashed my head right on the corner of a dead lock. Blood went everywhere and my grandma comes in "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO MY FLOOR!!"... Yeah just ignore me who is bleeding really bad.

Also last year getting my ingrown toenail removed, the 4 needles hurt like hell :'(.

Mines a toss up between two, equally as painful.

1. Loosing a thumb, then having it reattached.
And the doc sticking the anaesthetic needle into the gaping wound..

or

2. Knife in the back, wedged between ribs and right shoulder blade, during a 3 on 1 street fight.
Trying not to move after the heat of the moment sux when the adrenaline fades and everyone says you cant pull it out till the ambos take a look...

Motorcycle accident. Was doin 100+wearing shirt, shorts and no shoes. Slid down the road and dislocated my shoulder. It took 3 doctors to put my shoulder back in place.

Other than that kicking an ingrown toenail sucks.

Was cleaning a buff pad on an electric buff with a long rag while it was spinning at 7000rpm, stupid but i was in a hurry, it caught the other end of the rag = my index finger being wrapped ultra tight and twisted around at the joint, then proceded to turn blue, i've broken my leg before and had a tomahawk fall on my head this was 100 times painful than that.

+1

All four of mine were impacted, and had started growing along my jaw under the other teeth.

Not only was the pain excruciating, but the aftermath - vomiting black vomit for days from all the swallowed blood, breaking open the stitches from said vomiting, swallowing more blood, vomiting black vomit, etc. - was not pleasant.

Have had Gallstones, torn Anterior cruciate ligament (and associated reconstruction).

Two things stick in my mind:

The feeling of my knee giving way - not only when I did the injury, but also whenever it went out before the repair. The repair wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.

When they removed my gall bladder, they put a drain tube in (close to 1/2") that enter in the front, and ran through to the back. When they took it out, I could feel it move through inside.... not painfull but not something you forget either.

Probably been mentioned but most painful experience would have to be filling up the tank with Premium.... seriously worst I've experienced (luckily) are the neck pains which result from a bad sleeping position, you'll get up and feel like your necks in a vice. Sometimes through out the day I'll forget the neck hurts when I turn my head a certain direction, turn the head quickly and the pain shoots straight through. Also had one time where spasms/cramps were going on too, they would just happen every 15mins or so out of no which hurt real bad

Most painful thing in recent memory was 2 weeks ago where I was lifting bench saw that had the swiveling foot pedal. Sorry if thats hard to picture..Anyway I went to lift it and accidentally grabbed the swiveling part. So Because I was expecting it to be heavy, I put a fair bit into it, of course the part I grabbed moved quite easily and I jammed my finger between that and the solid frame.
I did it so hard that the end of my finger blew out, my god did it hurt! wouldn't stop bleeding for 3 days, thought I did some major damage.

Most painful thing was a few years ago while I was surfing(trying to). I had had enough so I was riding a wave in ,lying down. Hit some water that was coming back out, sort of like a reverse wave whatever its called, and caught a bit of air. Landed back down on a sensitive area e . Was crouched on the shore for ages. Thought I wouldnt be able to have kids

Getting hot molten Gal (zinc) in my right eye.

Burnt the surface of the eyeball, not deep enogh to cause too much damage, couldnt see out of it for 3 days as eye was sore.

Also splitting my thumb after being hit with 4lbs of hammer with force, 18 stitches and 4 injections.

Both work related too. :

mine isnt that bad really, i was in a crash a few years ago, which resulted in LR truck i was passenger in sliding up the hwy about 50 metres with my left arm bashing on the ground as it did that. That didnt really hurt. It was at the hospital the dr was cutting away all this flesh to try and fix the gaping would, and only about 60% of the area was under local.
