I'm surprised that Ford didn't think of something similar.

They're based in Geelong, they have an AFL team in the same town who's colours happen to be Blue and White.

Paint, badges and carpet are not expensive.

Opportunity lost perhaps?

You are surprised that ford didn't come up with a similar or good marketing ideas .... You must be the only one

Holden even had the Olympic model commodore when the games were in Sydney

They've had a bit of time to consider something

How smart was he when he said "maybe they could get Adam Goodes down to promote King Kong".

And Holden have a sponsorship with Collingwood, this would be part of the deal.

"At Holden, it’s about the journey as much as the drive – no matter where life’s journey takes you or what surprises come along. Even if that surprise is five members of the championship Collingwood Football Club clambering into your Captiva 7 or a 4WD professional taking a ‘short cut’ in a Colorado 7 on a test drive…

In a unique and innovative tongue-in-cheek social media campaign, Holden has taken unsuspecting customers (and in one video an unsuspecting ‘dealer’) on SUV test drives with a difference.

Cameras were set up in each of Holden’s world-class SUV range, and then real customers test drove cars with an actor playing the role of the dealership salesperson. Each video and each SUV model features something unexpected to spice up the drive.

Using real people and Holden brand ambassadors, the campaign focuses on the real-world usage of an SUV – like picking up the kids from practice, singing along to your favourite song, getting a coffee and taking a short cut – and gives it a Holden twist.

This video series has been specifically created for social media and has already registered more than a quarter of a million collective views across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Google Plus. The videos have also scored over 1.87 million social impressions across Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube and have been collectively shared more than 1000 times on Facebook.

With Holden’s range of SUVs, customers will always enjoy the journey as much as the drive.

Check out Holden’s SUV videos here:

Every thing he has achieved he has done so with hard work and his passion for the colllingwood football club made other clubs sit up and pay attention - take a look at their facilities

Is a multi millionaire that lives in Toorak going to drive a Holden , not unless its made by Mercedes or BMW , hell I wouldn't drive a local car either

I'm not an Eddie fan or a colllingwood supporter but your comment is as stupid as you are . Perhaps it's an ideal car for you

Apparently Eddie came home and found Nathan Buckley in bed with his wife.

He didn't know which side to get in.

I guess after yesterdays game, the white cars with black stripes are worth more than the black ones with the red stripes and the boot full of empty vials and syringes

Collingwood are looking a fleet development manager to work on selling Holden's through the footy club to corporate contacts.

Hyundai have been doing this for a few years through Carlton football club and A league.

Couldn't agree more with an opportunity being missed by ford and Geelong football club to do something similar.

Perhaps they could do a Cameron Ling special edition?

In my opinion, there’s two things you don’t display on your car, your footy team and who you vote for.

These piles of crap are just asking to be vandalised by some equally stupid knuckle dragging bogans.

Good old Collingwood Forever
They know how to play the game
Side by side they stick together
To uphold the Magpies name
See the barrackers are shouting
as all Barrackers should
For the premierships a cake-walk
For the Good old Collingwood

Agreed. I'd happily wear their colours - I have a few guernseys and polo shirts - but I wouldn't put my team's numberplates or stickers on my car.

A repeat of 2011 would be awesome. Too bad Collingwood won't get close to the grand final though, they are average at best.
