the local rubbish baling station,craling up an ejector shute to undo bolts in nearly zero space,with all the nappies ect, that could be crammed in there since the last year i were up there[assuming i might have upset the boss for two years running]. no, confirm that.

seems i've suppressed a couple of nasty jobs, did 1 10 hour shift at a chicken abbatoir, i found it so inhumane i won't describe it here, it would no doubt put people off chicken for life... i only spent a short time on the killing floor till they realised i couldn't handle it spent the rest of the time washing the plastic cages. They were 2ft x 1ft x 1ft (and they cram 5-6 chickens in there)

Did the old kitchen hand thing too ( i used to want to be a chef till i worked with them) used to pull 10-12 hour shifts standing in the one spot washing dishes with absolutely no break at all...ah those were the good old days!

I spent several months working for Aj Bush in Brisbane years ago as a rendering cook , you steam cook animal bits and shovel chicken bits and pig bits all day , very good $ but the oils stay in the skin for weeks , you sweat an ooze.

Well;i have worked as a slaughterman 3 days after leaving school 1997-2001
Worked at a chicken processing plant in Tamworth,hanging chickens up,caught a disease and nearly died from the bloody things,currnetly work drlling for coal seams,for weeks on end-once,i was on a land rig looking for gas for 19 weeks,you could feel the insanity taking you over,and now that my gf left,thinking bout going on oil rigs.......

Big Pond Tech Support - the IT equivalent of McDonald's.

Had to call our other department in Sydeny to ask for permission to go to the loo or go for a legislated 10 minute break - even though the 10 min break was scheduled for a particular time you still had to ask, because if we were busy, you couldn't take your break.

Not to mention dealing with dipsh!t users:
Me: Welcome to Bigpond
Luser: I just bought a computer from Harvey Norman and it wont work
Me: You bought a computer from Harvey Norman? You're too stupid to use the internet! *bangs head on desk*

Working for Cerebral Palsy assoc. emptying those donation bins. Some had maggots on stuff. Plus being trained by a guy who I swear I have NEVER seen anyone work so sloooooowly before. Guy took 13 hours to do a 4 hour job.

Wife says when I got home that first day, "You must have been ready to strangle him?" HAHA. No kidding!!!!!

Though right now,being not ABLE to work at all. (Congestive Heart Failure) drives me right up the wall!!! I LOVE my current job too. (Parts driver for "the company". Ford!! HAHA)

Being home gets old after the first week and it''ds been almost a year and they're saying it may be another one if they EVER let me go back!! WHA????? LOL.

Years ago, I used to work for a certain retail chain with 'Reject' in their name. 13 hour days were common, along with the joys of working nights & weekends. All for a salary of $26000 per year. No OT as all managers were on a salary.

1st year apprentice mechanic at ford.. Was a **** job! 6:30am-6pm monday to friday for $6.40 an hour. You hardly ever got lunch breaks (even though they docked your pay for lunch). The foreman was an idiot.. and most of the mechanics were A-holes..
The only good part was driving nice cars. I quit after 12 weeks.

I'm doing 38 hours a week in woolworths produce, its not too bad. I love the people i work with too.. well.. most of them

worst job ever was workin in IT as a fiel technician, fixing everything and anything even stuff i have never seenm before, starting from PCs, laptops, comms gear, servers, printers, etc etc
boss was an *** ...
next in line was tiling, carrying around 2t of materials per day was no fun, especially if it was multi level with stairs

loving my new job now, just started as an apprentice mechanic at a very reputable workshop ... good bunch of blokes, except for the odd one out and of course what mood the boss is in

Labouring for a mobile sand blaster when i was 15.

Each bag of garnet weighs 40 kg and looks like a 20 kg bag of concrete. Unloading pallets and climbing the ladder to fill up the hopper. Still $10 an hour cash around 7 years ago was good money for a 15 was ok but it was tough work.

Worst Job Ever. I was working for a Private Investigation company here in Adelaide. The boss would bug our offices so he could hear our conversations, all our email correspondance was copied to him so he could read it, he taped our phone conversations. He was selling shares in the business, which wasnt actually a company and didnt have shares, he was continually involved and eventually charged for attempting to corrupt police officers(There were no attempts, just successes), perverting the course of justice and onward and upward as well as a few other things I wont mention because of their seriousness, but suffice to say he got away with them through a major cockup from SAPOL.

He decided his PA would make a great manager, and she instantly turned the entire office into her personal play thing, and essentially did her best to make it even more unpleasant. If she had a brain she would be outside playing with it.

Eventually after 10 months I had had enough and left the industry all together.

Some time back I worked for a funeral parlour driving a hearse.
Was dealing with it quite well at the start, driving a big black P6 LTD at 40 kmh, wearing a suit every day, good pay.
It was no big deal getting the stiffs out of the cool room as they no smell and were already in their boxes, I just had to screw the lids down then load em into the hearse along with the flowers and momentoes.
Some incidents during certain funerals were quite humorous but most were a sad event, kids ones were quite devistating, but I managed through it for about a year.
Then I got put on the shift to pick the corpses up before the mortician had done his magic, and one in particular just ended it there and then.
I will never forget the smell of a corpse that had been rotting for two weeks before discovery. As soon as the coroner opened the storage locker door, the putrid odour was unbelieviably strong, and even though the stiff was bagged and then placed in a sealed box, it just reaked out the hearse for the 30 minute drive back to the parlour.
I can still smell it today every time I think about it.

Cleaning horse paddocks for $5.00 a paddock. Each paddock (there were about 7 of them all up) was around 4 acres and took about 5 hours to clean! :(

working on filthy trucks outside in the middle of winter in england sometimes standing knee deep in cow muck with steam coming off of our wet overalls from the heat radiating from our bodies nice!!!!!!!!!!!

Worked as a temp and ended up at this place called excel pacific diecast, all you did was stand in an unbelivably noisy factory where all the engineers couldn't speak english because it was cheaper to hire malaysians or taiwanese or wherever they were from. Couldn't ask them because they didn't speak english.

Anyway this joint made throttle bodies for toyotas among other things and almost every part to go out the door was stuffed. The english bloke in charge of quality control said if the parts stuffed bin it, but as soon as he went to his office the asian engineers would take the parts I threw away and box them up as finished ISO 9001/2 products. The job consisted of taking a part out of a hopper to your left, put it in the machine in front of you, press the buttons and then put it in a hopper to your right. This was two 12 hour shifts a day and every other worker that wasn't an engineer was either stoned or high as a kite because its the only way they could get through a shift. All for $14 bucks an hour casual rates. The full time blokes got $12 bucks an hour. Worked their only one day thankfully as I had more work lined up for the next day

My worst job would have to be the one im in now, in Iraq escorting convoys up and down the country even though we are fully armed up with armoured F350,s the roadside bombs still take em out. But the cash is good!

I dont find it so bad when its your own, I was just being a slave for my riding instructor at that time.... oh well.
