By the way, did anyone know that the VE uses more fuel than the BF? I rest my case!
What makes me laugh is now we are comparing the VE to the BA BF wait till we see the new ford in 08 and think about what holden came up with ok VT VU VX VY VZ and now the VE lol ford has had AU BA BF lol so ford is really up to the VY lol so the next ford in 08 sould be compere to the That not the VE? right lol I rest my case.

Big difference in AU and AU2/3 for interior and ride. AU 1 is average, 2 and 3 are great IMO. I had a BA Monte and sold it for an AU 3 XR.

Default ford man here again

what also makes me laugh is that Holden people seem to think that because Holden had an IRS before Ford that Holden is better, but I know one of the guys that was on the design team at ford that designed the BA suspension,(and by the way they designed the rear suspension before the marketing team named it)

And a BA rear is so much better than the Holden semi-trailing-arm rear.
But also I say that Holden HAD to build a better commodore because Holden had the advantage before BA was released because most people didn’t like the look of AU 1, 2 or 3. and the BA was such a good looking car that Holden’s free run was and is over, I mean haven’t Holden only just stopped using PUSHRODS!
The VR V6 is ok if you don’t thrash it, but if you do they get real noisy real quick. but a ford will take it

Funny that, the fact that Holdens IRS was a POS with the inner wearing of tyres in extreme cases of 7000km's. A problem that couldn't be fixed with there camber TSB.

Holden still use pushrod V8's.

You might not believe it but the VK was the most trouble commodore. The Fuel injection 3.3lt was a huge problem with reliability and it's plastic was cheap not a fan of this model at all.

I still think the RB30 is the best engine, Holden never built. :hihi:

Ok maybe I'm biased, because I have one. :
Did you know the first nissan engines they had in the VL's were built by holden??. Cost to much so they just got them off nissan. And the story goes when buying one find the nissan one it's better built. Don't know if it's 100% true maybe you might know ?.

Compare with her VT which feels almost as rattly as my hilux diesel, hell even the roller cammed cleveland in my XA is almost as smooth, every time it drops a gear on a hill feels like the whole drivetrain is dragging on the road, and as for handling?
The VT wants to keep going straight when you turn in,the AU is actually pretty good, the only critisism with the AU is the looks, but they are soon forgotten when you drive the car..
Seems you only post on VE threads,or some "comparison" between commodore and Falcon, If the new commodore is so good,go and buy one sleek, then spend some time driving it on the road instead of the internet...
Sharpen your nails
Who's talking about the way the move it's the look of them. Only the T series looked good in Au's. And maybe the XR's.
All Au's aren't bad they just look like a Taurus and that was the biggest stuff up they made as the Taurus was rejected and sent home. Fixed with BA.

Why do you always have to make it personal? If you can't hack what i say and where i say it don't look don't comment. And if i choice to buy a new VE I'll do it when I'm ready to and I'll keep posting away anywhere and everywhere i like as unlike you i can keep it on cars and not take personal dig's ;) I remember my Sig;).

I was sitting at the lights this morning, watching what I thought was a VE Calais go by, when in all actual fact, it was a VZ (tail lights gave it away).

Fresh, definately not. If I can mistake a VZ for a VE, surely others can too.

The VK Calais has terrible electrics. Friend had one and in hot weather the windows didn't work half the time. So he sold that one and get a VX Berlina. Happier now.

I think the AU looked ok. Holden looked better though...more conventional yet modern. The Falcon was modern, but looked weird. But as stated, I don't mind it.

And the last point, this is a community board, meaning that we are here to get along. If you take everything personally, then go to yahpoo chat.
Can't we all just get along? Jsmilie: :

What was my point? Someone said that Holden just started having OHC motors, I said the V8's are pushrod. My last post was a bit of a laugh.

The problem I have is that your posts either, refer back to your VP, or how the latest and greatest from holden is better than sliced bread, even when a thread is solely about a Ford, you have to somehow bring a Holden in to the discussion, one way or another.
Also you like to have a poke in jest, but when it's returned your way,you dont take it with the same humour.
There is nothing personal about it,and if you think there is,your looking too hard.
Ill post my opinions on what I like,or dislike for that matter, and if you think its personal then that reflects on you not me..

Nugget...don't take it so personally dude.

Slickholden comes to FF to talk Holdens because FF is the best forum to be a part of. Consider yourself fortunate to also be part of it.

People are free to state their opinions. It's called democracy. His opinion never targets you as an individual nor threaten nor question your sexuality, so if it bothers you, ignore the thread and read another.

This forum is for everybody to enjoy and as long as they adhere to FF rules, then people are free to say what they wish.

Yeah I did it tonight as well.
But you have to remember that car manufactures try to make the transition to new models much less of a shock as it can scare the punters off.

Saw an Omega on the road the other day. Did absolutely nothing for me. In fact if this is the billion dollar baby, where the hell has the money gone? It is heavier and the base model has the same gutless V6 the VZ had. As many have said the rear and those ridiculus lights look exactly the same as the current Magna. The front looks like a mixture of a focus and a BA falcon. Nothing ground braking either, even from Paul GOVER of the Herald Sun, rather just a boring make over in my opinion. Bring on the Orion!!!

I reckon.

Was reading in the latest WHEELS, in the 400M times and the Omega clocked a 15.8???

That's pathetic. :

A series 1 VN V6 was quicker then that, 18 years ago.

I also believe to this day, Holden have never had a V6 with more torque, then the EA.

Dude, do you think people buying an Omega are gonna be worrying about 400M times?
