i read the china papers here daily in hk... and they have quite a bit of coverage of what naughty people are up to, and what will happen to them.

thats probably why its such a safe city... do something wrong... 0 tollerance.

pfft 10 yrs for 2 pills is pretty over the top IMO... thats like $40 worth of drugs that anyone could stuff in your pocket/case/whatever as a joke and ruin your life..
pretty stupid tho to even bother with E's while over there, especially when you can get mushies in every 2nd place just about..

I hereby volunteer to make as many conjugal visits as possible to help her through this tough time she is experiencing..

Who cares if she is pretty. Execution by firing squad is the patriotic thing to hope for. Yes then hopefully no fair dinkum aussies will ever travel there and support an economy that harbours terrorists, and a legal system that reduces allready ludicrous sentences for mass murderers(Abu Bakir Bashir). Sorry if this is a bit harsh but when will Australians learn that we have made a bad name for ourselves in indonesia over the last 20 years or so. Just because we are a generous nation in the advent of a humanitartian disaster does not mean indonesions will like or respect us, we are renouned in bali for being rude, arrorgant, and disrespectfull of there cultural beliefs. Having a military and federal police presence in bouganville, aceh, east timor etc has not done us any favours as tourists. The fact is that alot of Balinese only put up with the aussie tourist for one reason and that is money. Before SBY assumed presidency our political relationship was somewhat rather tenuous with Megawati and little Johnny at loggerheads with each other. I believe that we should never forget what happened at the sari club and honour the victims by giving all those who wish to travel to bali a one way ticket. I say take one for the team sweetheart.

Are you for real?

The girl went there for a holiday, not to become a martyr in the Holy War (or whatever the f**k theyre calling it).

Whether she guilty or not i wouldnt want to see her or any decent Australian getting 20years let alone the firing squad.

I heard today that she apparently admitted to being addicted to ecstacy. Even if she doesnt get the death penalty its a fair bet her career is shot.

I fully agree with Johm Howard, and we sdhouldn't be just bailing out drug smugglers or drug delaers or users from another country we pay enough taxes already and we dont need stupid people like this to waste millions of tax payers $ when they decide to do something stupid like this. And personally anyone who is caught selling drugs anywhere in the world derves to be shot, hanged or put in a electric chair... Make it a no tolerence and we will have less people on drugs very quickly.

at least she'll be a pretty corps.

Think about how easy it would be for a cop to slip two eccies into her bag and then say that she admitted to buying them? It's a known fact that the Bali legal system is currupt, you can't rule out the possibilty that she was set up. Having said that, it's equally as possible that she is guilty. I'm 50/50 on this one, either way 10years for two e's is overkill. Drug traffiking is one thing, buying 2 e's for a good night out is another, that's just my opinion...

she knew full well what she was doing and she would have known the consquences of her actions, and yet she still took drugs into their country, she deserves everything she gets.

I dont know why anyone would go to a third world country to holiday! Because they are to cheap to pay for a real holiday maybe ! There are better destinations . They may be more expensive , but at least when you buy a DVD it hasnt been video'd from a theater and the other souviniers last for a decent period of time ! I am spewin we send so much aid their way , excluding the sunami of course ! Its actually more of a bribe than aid !

Just heard on the news, rumour has it Suttons Holden has apparently been involved in financially supporting Michelles boyfriend, bribing an Indonesian police officer a large amount of money (half mill US$ i think) to testify her innocence

Her boyfriend is the son of the guy who owns Suttons.
