Could have just used the centre cup holders in the Territory. No spilled coffees ever in there. No matter how crazy you drive.

Pretty funny that they have such a nice beach, but they have to build a lagoon because you can't swim in it due to the stingers, sharks and whatever else lurks in there. Such a tease.

We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about. “Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”. |

I do have calibre (ebook reading software) on my PC, and also on an off brand ebook reader that runs calibre too, so epub and other ebook formats can be read on my systems (if you have them and want to sell via paypal or something.) |

I think I may rename this THE HERO THREAD
A Coy 2RAR left Townsville on this day 50 years ago to start a tour of South Vietnam which lasted for 12 months and three weeks. During that time, these blokes served 318 days on operations in the jungle, the swamps and the mountains of Phuoc Tuy Province. We flew in civilian aircraft and stopped off at Darwin to refuel or something like that - **** it was hot. We stopped again in Singapore to have breakfast in the airport terminal. Because Singapore was a neutral country regarding the war, we took off our Army polyester shirts and replaced them with garish Hawaiian shirts. Some blokes managed to sample the local beer - Tiger beer. Me and another bloke were heading to the airport entrance to have a look around when these security guys stopped us. Did they think we were doing a runner? I was 20 years of age, the same as most of my mates. Pics of A Company 2RAR and of 2 Platoon. (There are 3 platoons to a company) |

I think second photo, back row, sixth from left. Do I win the commemorative pav?
Did you blokes know at the time, it was also Israeli Independence Day? Only 3 years after ‘67, thought it might have got some airtime. |
