Default Re: Can you buy a car with 162000km?

Not another thread.

I usually get rid of cars when they have done between 50,000 - 60,000 kms. Never had one with over 100,000 kms.

In saying that however I pay a premium everytime and usually treat my cars like the tools of trade they are. There's one car in particular I traded a few years ago that was ****** with 60,000 kms, not because I hadn't serviced it, but because it was a lemon the day I picked it up new and had been molested by the local Ford dealer over 20 times in its 30 months of existence.

The moral of the story is you can get a dud anytime. Ive had cars that feel better after they have done 50,000 kms then they did new, my Territory feels great after nearly 60,000 of abuse.

I would never buy a car with 162,000 kms unless it was some sort of rare collectable that I was going to moth ball. Daily drivers for me need to be reliable and need to go at any hour of the day. I do alot of driving late at night between country towns where the risk of accident or breaking down is high, therefore I need reliable equipment.

I bought my EB Ghia with 286,000km and drove it daily for 2 years, which is a pretty meaningless answer to a pointless question.

what posts are they? "Grunter" quoted me earlier in the thread from another thread about high mileage cars, they are completely irrelevant comments to this thread?? dont know what his point is?

Ive tried to warn people that PD Superchargers would break stock Boss 5.4 motors, people didnt listen, theres plenty haunted by those comments.
