Update is
It was recovered with an AU2 front all be it 50mm to the right after a big hit in the front.
Persons who had it thought they would fix it and keep it
Needs new rails
Motor rebuild (run with no oil or coolant)
only thing missing is exhaust
All other good bits good bits with it

In holding police holding yard

Getting picked up after removal of AU2 panels

Stripped & cleaned now ready for rebuild
notice still has part of the AU2 rad support still on it

Well I'll be damned! I would've thought for sure it would've been stripped out...

That's great news that you got it back in relatively one piece! Good luck with the rebuild!

Gary I still say it is bloody weird that the Dark Agent Typhoon rims and the brakes were still on it, would have to have been the easiest most desireable parts to grab off it.

Good luck with the rebuild too mate.

Kinda proves it was joyriders with no brains. Anyone with half an M&M worth of brain would have been at least smart enough to nick the rims. Obviously kids who've run off and couldn't carry the rims with them.

Glad it's back, hope insurance covers thew work.

Not joy riders but definitely lacking in brains they were driving it around for a couple of months with different plates and front end..

Good to hear it's back. But a damn shame money has to come out of your pocket to fix it back up to how it was beforehand.

Still hope they catch the bastards.

it was found with in 30ks from ware it was taken. with a few unconfirmed "spotted " reports that proved fruitfull. when recoverd it had a S11 high series bonnet & grille ext stuck on it , utes have low series bonnets on them..

Good news that you have got it back now. I guess it’s some sort of relief that it still has the good bits on it. I don’t understand how any fool could steal a car like this, obviously knowing a little about the engine and performance of it, and then drive it without oil and coolant :
I hope your insurance has good cover, so that the repairs don’t have to come out of your own pocket again. Not after the amount of time and dollars that went into the ute's build the first time.
Good luck with the rebuild, look forward to seeing how she turns out this time.

Lucky Gary is insured with Shannons, apparently he overwhelmed with their customer care/service. :

What kind of scum steals someones loved car and tries to keep it as their own? Well I guess the good thing about that is they didn't strip it.

Now, thankfully its back. I bet you won't let it happen again. ;)

Very very lucky indeed ... like others on here ... I thought it was gone for good and stripped down to bare chassis.

Looking forward to the rise of the best yet again.
