Well done and a big thanks to everyone involved it getting the forum all back up and running. Although Murphy hit three times, it sounds like at least one of those had a bit of help from lazy humans (not backing up when they moved the server for example), I'd actually love to know what they told Russ seeing he described it as beyond belief.

Well done again, and Russ and Chris, have a drink and a well earned rest!

Now resolved. One of the problems with restoring data in the manner used is that folder permissions are not migrated across.

Cheers

This might be isolated to iPhone users, when I visit a page then try and return to AFF home page, a screen comes up with blue writing and it tells me I cannot access the page I'm after. A quick refresh usually sorts the problem out. Is this in relation to the recent outage?

We have made some changes today in the method(s) used to cache pages.

This should substantially improve page load speeds but it is alos possible that certain pages might generate errors.

If you get any errors while loading a page could you please post them here so we can review them.

Cheers
Russ

Sorry, the page you are looking

for could not be found on the server.

Please contact the site administrator.

That just came up in blue script, as I tried to exit the page. Refreshed page and it came up as AFF home page.
Has happened heaps today.

Excellent. Cause that was confusing .... It may have had to do with items cached locally on your machine.

it happened just before i posted the message earlier today yeah, but i'm not sure if it's related to the firefox update that had flash issues, i've downloaded the fix but it still remains. Other flash sites are working though. It will still work in IE though, so might just be browser related.

The b-series site isn't working because the main index file is missing so I am assuming it had been removed deliberately while some repairs were made.

Cheers

I seem to be missing the Sponsors advertising at the top of the page.
It flashes up Loading images: NaN%, then goes to Loading images: 0% and just sits there.

yep that's the same issue i'm getting, but it works in Opera and IE, just not in Firefox, so i'd say it's an issue with their latest update and the flash issues they were having, even though i've applied their 'fix' it still won't work.

Is this just happening when you use Firefox? Does IE work OK?

You could take a look at this and see if it's a problem with the Flash plugin http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/...e+Flash+plugin
