Yeah I know it just said he'd been down a few times and that was his best. Hard to find much quarter mile information on blown AU V8s.

hard to find... Its almost impossible.

We all know that all cars and drivers are different but would be a good indication to find out what these blown au v8's are running down the strip and this particular car we know has only had a few minor mods to it.

yeah ran at WSID on the 1-9-10 1st time ever at the strip and it showed 14.021. was running with a **** set of 17's which wouldn't even put of a puff of smoke (been of the ute for 2 yrs in the shed) couldn't get the launch right with some very sad 60ft times clutch mostly. still carrying spare, hard top and sound system. only got 2 consistent runs. will be back down soonish with new clutch and probably drop the lid and get some better tyres. i am pretty sure tim was telling me about yours. should be good and look forward to hearing how it goes.

Ah plenty of room for improvement in that 60ft. MPH is nice and strong too, 13's are only around the corner!!!

i would be keen on this kit, but my XR8 it just on 180'000, i would prob have to rebuild the auto before strapping something like that on?

As long as the engine is healthy, not blowing smoke, good compression then it shouldn't be a problem.

I am also keen to see results with this setup.

Are they a simple exercise to intercool?

Shav has a Raptor kit on his AU 6, stock bottom end. His is intercooled and from what i remember is making 205rwkw.

There are also a few Bseries owners with Raptor Superchargers aswell, one XR6 recently ran 13.04 non intercooled with 233rwkw.

Thanks mate. Im still using my old 2.5" exhaust with that out put. My guess is I would see another 10-15rwkw with a 3" system and another custom tune.

POELWYK - you should be fine mate with your engine. Alternatively look at the snort twin screw setup they have going. I have heard of up to 230rwkw unintercooled on an AU 6 with one of these kits as well as instant power from idle.

Anyway I won't hijack this thread further about it. If you want to know anything further PM me.

I reckon start getting the parts now in anticipation of the above date you get off your P's. It will give you incentive and keep the excitement alive.

It would certainly be that.

I came close to putting a 200 in the SR about 6 weeks ago, but the LPG advice I got from my gas mechanic put me off. He suggested keeping the windsor off a standard mixer ring, or Impco setup, but go for SVI.

I guess in the final analysis, if I had that much money to splurge, I'd simply get myself an AU 2-3 XR8 OR V8 Ghia with SVI.

I keep telling myself that I need to learn to be content with my cars for now. It works, for about 2 months or so, then I need to tell myself again! LOL!

your gonna have a lot of fun with some boost. The sound of the mild whine the blower gives along with a v8 note.
