If we take everything off an AU that is listed in this thread - there isn't much left!

The BiPlane spoiler.
A wing on a wing is just wrong IMO, even on an AU.

-Aftermarket tail lamps, factory one look the best.
-T-Series mock-ups -When those black plastic things fall off on the lower part of the front bumper -Poorly looked after paint -Exhuast Drone Actually like the series 1 body kit and bi-plane spoiler, something about the completly "over the top" look that interests me. |

I dont like fortes with black stickers on the lights to make it like an XR, they look horrid. I have the XR50 front bar IMO this is how the XR's should have come out.
Cheers Corey

I like the altezzas, but on the right colour car and with wheel, lower job. I hate seeing a set of chrome or black altezzas on a completely stock car.
Home made mods. AUs are now cheap enough for any bogan with a couple days off, allowing them to bang up a new front bar and stick it on. |

S1 taillights, altezza lights, twinlights, painted interiors, grey S1 interior, stock ride height, the I'm better than everyone owners who think their 16 sec stocker is better than anything else.
Love the S1 XR Kit, but i may be biased, given mine has it, including the bi-plane wing

AU XR's without the XR side skirts and AU's without bi plane spoilers
my car has a little downforce, single spoilers have none. AU1 door handles (too loose) the rideheight of AU1 XR's. should of been an inch lower.

Miss matched painted parts. Brightly painted calipers, etc that dont match the color of the car. It's a car, its mechanical.. try to keep some contrast with the body color. Pink, fluro green, sky blue... no. And its the same for engine covers, the rest of the bay looks as industrial as ever, then theres a bright fluro cover in the middle.

This has been fun.... But we all love the Au so whats the point on ragging on it?
If you've got altezza or a bi fold spoiler, burgandy paint, aftermarket rims that look small etc. Who really gives a ^&%$? If your driving an Au i dont really care what it looks like. It's your- decisions, money, time and effort. (It's your journey To make it something that you like. What ever that may be? Where all different and all have different tastes) Than thats all that matters?! Some have unlimited budgets, some work with what they've got. Let's leave it at that...... There's plenty of other things to get ya upset then this? : lol |

I’m buying an AU Fairmont for my youngest lad as a 1st car because they are a lot nicer car to drive than a E series and I've driven all E series models and owned a AU ghia for 5 years.I personally like the look of the AU Fairmont’s with the factory Tick ford option That’s why I dumped my EB on my Dads farm to rot under a tree instead of giving him the car no air bags and ordinary to drive. |
