In my auto auxr6 it depends on the road surface. Sometimes it squeeks or steps out slightly, but 95% of the time theres traction. But in the wet when I plant it it goes sideways or just sits there spinning.

When I had my auto eb xr8 i could never get traction, it would always just sit there spinning which just became annoying.

Well mine either bogs (<4000rpm) or smokes (>4250rpm), so the answer is "yes, quite easily". Doesn't help when you only have 205 series tyres trying to put the power to the ground either!

I can idle it in first near the point of stalling push the right foot down as fast as possible let the big windsor open up the car will squat on the IRS and either do 1 of two things
1. launch hard with the tyres protesting but no major loss of traction just unreal acceleration. BRING ON THE SS COMMONHORES
2. go no where with some sideways action
That is with the XR8
The Probe being a V6 FWD with no LSD bags of wheel spin at the drop of a hat

The only traction problem I have with my 3spd EA is in the wet when the bloody thing decides to kick down for no aparent reason (almost said hello to the gutter a few times because of it).

I have never been able to smoke my XF off the line. Unless I'm on a hill with a huge gradient.

in the el (stock 5.0 , 235's) 95% of the time it wont.

in the old ef (stockish 4.0) it wouldnt with the 235's on, but with the 215's it would every time.

and i cant believe you guys are even commenting on doing it in the wet? of course it should...

Yep, in whatever road conditions
From idle i can gently release the clutch and squeeze on the throttle and leave 2, 245 tyre marks for close to 20 mtrs..lol
That is in the dry of course!! :Reverend:

Just can now on all surfaces, before i got my new tyres however it was so simple. In the wet it was just lethal, all spin and no go.

I suppose an EL sedan with a 3.23 LSD and stock steel rims (205 - 15's) is not a good mix.

The BA suspension is awesome on the XR6 - grips like nothing else. having said that though it easily lit up first then second gears the other night on my private dragstrip

My old VR Clubby use to smoke the rears (17" 245x35) easily, usually after a bit of axletramp DOH!
Mind you it was manual.

EL XR8 auto and it breakes traction fairly easy in the dry.Pretty hard not to spin the wheels in the wet.

EL XR8 auto spins for a few seconds off the line and gets a little sideways on a set of 225's. My last BA XR8 auto would barely even chirp the tyres with the 245's. Torque reduction sucks.

The EA can spin off the line now that I've upgraded to MPFI
The corty I took to the drags was doing top gear burnouts so no probs there
my old gemini had no traction to begin with and the turbo didn't help
neither did the dodgy holden suspension _2:

The tyres on our AU will chirp sometimes....

But if you really want it to happen, hold your foot on the brake, rev it to 3000rpm and let go of the brake as you floor it.

Manual Xr6....No wuckin forries mate. Easy. Without dumping the clutch depending on surface it will either chirp or swing out sideways.

The auto falc's I've had eg EB/ED would just bog down and go.

Big yes.... if it doesnt erupt into a volcano of smoke, it will squirm left/right and then break traction as boost comes on.
