Here we go..... I also got a 3 inch intake made up, yet to be polished. The ultra lows are about as low as youd want to go in the front, but the rears could be a hell of a lot lower LOL. Still, doesnt sit to bad.

Hmm... I was thinking about going U/L in the rear of my EL, but after looking at those pics I'm not sure if I'll bother.

man, my superlows look lower than your ultralows. i had to swap to lows in the rear to keep it level with my front (superlows).

i guess the gas tank weighs another 70kg or so... but still?! have kings changed the design or something?

either quality control is useless at Kings or something else is effecting the height majorly.
some cars on superlows look slammed, others look high.
same goes for ultra lows.

'galapogos01' na, i think its just the angle you photo is taken at. Looking at mine in the rear, the guard is just below the tyre. Front is just above the tyre. Dunno what the go is.... They look pretty similar to me yea. I thought they would be lower than they are too.

Hehehehehe, yea, i had cut springs in it. Bought proper springs to make it leagle....... But i have already painted the old springs yellow ready to put back in LOL. Will be slammed in the *** again. My cut springs sat the rear guard halfway between the rim and top of the tyre. Looked fat as.....

I agree - there is too much discrepancy between cars with King springs. I remember seeing DUMPTs Fairmont on ultra lows and half of the tyre was in the guard (IIRC he had Pedders shocks all round).

The shocks also play a big part in the ride height. I had my suspension re-done last month (my Pedders springs were carried over) and we managed to bring the front down 13mm just by locating the spring saddle further down the shock. The rears were reset and came down another inch (25mm) or so.

chich: you're reffering to DUMTEF's car, DUMPT has an EL GLi.
but yeah i do agree, the ride height differences are fairly large considering in same choice of springs

can we also keep talk of sprint cutting out of these threads.
to those people (you know who you are) stop telling people to cut their springs.

Agreed - anyone stupid enough to cut springs will learn the hard way when the car goes up on a hoist and the things pop out. It also causes the car to bob up and down like a trampoline so you can forget about making the car to handle at all.

Mine is 320mm from the center of the wheel cap to the wheel arch in the back, and 335mm at the front.

What supprised me the most was, i was expecting a really rough ride. I dont think they are really any firmer than my stock springs... :

Im was told that ya need to let the springs settle into their final seating poastion b4 ya can get the correct ride height is this true, the ultra low height ion this car is seemingly high at this stage but would b interesting to see their hight now if wot im told is indeed true. Joe.

Post up some pics........... so we can see

What size rims do you have, if they are 17"s or below then it won't LOOK as low as if you had 18"s or 19"s or 20"s as the tyres on the bigger rims get hidden by the gaurds.

More rim shows giving the appearance that the car is lower with the bigger rims...............
