The better half is out in Windsor this morning ... but will head back to the M7 via Windsor rd though ... at least that road stays open.

From the SES Facebook page

Hawkesbury Council have just advised us that they are closing the Lower Portland Ferry from now. They are closing the ferry earlier than the normal midnight closing time. The Lower Portland Ferry will be closed tomorrow as well due to forecast flooding on the Hawkesbury River.

Road and Marine Services will advise when they close the Sackville Ferry, Webbs Creek Ferry and the Ferry at Wisemans Ferry. For more information on these ferries please visit the RMS Live Traffic Website at http://livetraffic.rta.nsw.gov.au/ or ring Live Traffic on 132 701.

Reposing to correct the date in the first paragraph below.

The Yarramundi Bridge, North Richmond Bridge and Windsor Bridge will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the early morning Friday 9 March 2012.

By the predicted height for Windsor, the Sackville and Lower Portland Ferries will be closed in the early hours of the morning on Friday 9th March 2012. The Webbs Creek Ferry and Wisemans Ferry will close soon after.

For people living on the western side of the Hawkesbury from North Richmond to Wisemans Ferry please adjust your travel plans accordingly.

Yeah heard on the radio this morning that the bridges were to be closed around midday today ... expected river height was to be around the 8m mark.

Time for this thread to get serious,

you can do much better feeds in the Hawkesbury than RG's

a short squirt up the hill to Kravings, would be a much better option

I think it still is, I havent been there again since i lived up there (I used to live across the road from the people who oned it) they used to do a belta of a pizza

As for the drunks walking home, I used to live opposit the uni on Londonderry rd, and the things we used to see, hear and learn were amazing

see: 2 things stick in my mind. 1/ the time they had shopping trolly races, 2 girls one in each trolly, tops removed wearing bras as helemts, males pushing them as fast as they could. 2/ some one stole a dumpster from the shopping center and proceded to take it back to the uni (if you know the area, while relitivly flat its an up hill road to the uni

hear mostly drunken declorations of love, but we had one couple climb under the fence and porceed to make sweet sweet love just behind the tree line

Learn most impotantly, Never Ever under any circomstances leve the garden hose out the front on a firday or saturday night, as it will loose 6" in lenght and in most cases they will take the 6" out of the middle of the hose

At least I can still access Tandoori Village from the Sydney side of the river. Has been ages since I was there last ... hoping to get back there sometime soon.

Shame that Kurmond Bar and Grill is gutted still .... I doubt that's ever coming back.

if you were on the other side the curry hut is going alright now ( I still perfer the Tandoori Village, but my wife likes the curry hut better)

or the apple bar up in bilpin goes very well so all is not lost if your stuck over the other side

I doubt the Kurmond bar and grill is coming back any time soon

but like I said Kravings a little furer up the road does well
Try the pork belly starter or the scollups actualy its all really good

Jupitors arround the back (near Coles has sticky floors) but then so does the royal 2 doors up from RG's hmmm come to think of it so does the inn, I'm sorry you have to be more spacific.

As for Macca's I love it, we get a fire call at 3, 4 even 5am on a saturday or sunday morning and theres always loads of tanked blokes with scantaly clad girl friends walking through the drive through. OK love is a bit strong but its not always a bad sight if you get my drift

What gets me Miss XR6 your looking for a new place and your not looking at the hawkesbury, I think we've sold it pretty well here just now
