Oh......so much to learn. My XR5 had only two good things, Recaro sports seats and 5 cyl motor. I feel like I'm driving something out of the future in the ST. Hahaha.

Pretty sure this mandatory under ADR, any dirt on the lense can cause light refraction which can startle oncoming cars, seems like a meek attempt to me although have no real experience in this area. I have noticed my squirt up over the bonnet on one occasion.

Looks awesome, except for the fitment of the number plate, that's just silly! Why would they give us one that doesn't fit?

Correct me if I'm wrong, the car was designed to display long narrow plates in the UK.

RSgerry. You'll like the Global Window functionality. If you know how to open and close all the windows (by simply holding the lock and unlock button on the keyless), you can also put all the windows up all at once by leaving your thumb on the sensor pad. I found this out as I attempted to grab my phone through the window, my body was on the sensor and the window went up. Thankfully it went back down otherwise I'd 've half the man I am.

Yes, but the US ones have a different styled one that fits non european plates. Few guys have already ordered them for theirs here.

I'm surprised no one has the euro style plate to fit the bumper. I've had my plates made in the euro style to suit

I remember, in the first week of picking up my XR5, the bracket the number plate was attached to was Euro and the number plate fell off. I was so embarrassed. Just saw the second ST on the GOLD COAST. I expect who ever you are to join this site because I want to find some nice and curved roads.

And for a similar cost to that you can also get euro plates (in qld at least) that fill out the front and rear properly.

I suspect the mounting holes are in the centre of the grill section. Mine was delivered with a mounting bracket between the grill and the plate, it does make it stand off slightly but at least it centres the plate. I have to agree the easiest fix is euro styled plates but when quoted $400 in NSW I said no thanks.

euro plates are expensive enough, i fancy retro plates similar to the RS. i spotted a TS ST today...looks lovely. i just cant get enough of the car. it is just amazing. a sensational drive. everything about it is just mind blowing. it is the first new car i have bought that i havent had to compromise on for the wife. sometimes i just go into the garage and just stare..........................

I know what you mean. It truly is a sexy hot hatch. When I fist bought mine, it felt like I was driving some type of space craft with how the dash board looks.
